2016թ. փետրվարի 18-ին Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարանի քարտուղարությունը հաստատել է նախորդ տարվա հունիսի 23-ին էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագնի թանկացման դեմ իրականացվող բողոքի-ակցիայի՝ «Էլեկտրիկ Երեւանի» մասնակից Դավիթ Սելիմյանի գործով դիմումի ստացումը:

Հելսինկյան քաղաքացիական ասամբլեայի Վանաձորյան գրասենյակի տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ 2015թ. հունիսի 23-ին էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագնի թանկացման դեմ իրականացվող բողոքի հավաքի վայրից բռնությամբ ոստիկանության բաժին բերված եւ այնտեղ ապօրինաբար պահված Դավիթ Սելիմյանի գործով 2015թ. դեկտեմբերի 23-ին դիմում է ներկայացվել Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարան՝ ՄԻԵԿ 3-րդ (Խոշտանգումների արգելում), 5-րդ (Ազատության եւ անձնական անձեռնմխելության իրավունք), 8-րդ (Անձնական եւ ընտանեկան կյանքը հարգելու իրավունք), 10-րդ (Արտահայտվելու ազատություն), 11-րդ (Հավաքների եւ միավորման ազատություն), 13-րդ (Իրավական պաշտպանության արդյունավետ միջոցի իրավունք), 14-րդ (Խտրականության արգելում) հոդվածներով նախատեսված իրավունքների խախտման հիմքով:

Հիշեցնենք, որ 2015թ. հունիսի 22-ի լույս 23-ի գիշերը Բաղրամյան պողոտայում իրականացվող բողոքի ցույցի մասնակիցների նկատմամբ կիրառվել է ջրանետ մեքենա, ինչից հետո Դավիթ Սելիմյանը բռնությամբ տեղափոխվել է ոստիկանության բաժին, որտեղ ապօրինաբար պահվել է մոտ 10 ժամ:

Նշենք նաեւ, որ Դավիթ Սելիմյանի իրավունքների պաշտպանությունն իրականացնում են Հելսինկյան քաղաքացիական ասամբլեայի Վանաձորի գրասենյակի ներկայացուցիչ Անահիտ Չիլինգարյանը եւ կազմակերպության կողմից այս գործով ներգրավված փաստաբան Արթուր Հարությունյանը:
