Գազի սակագնի իջեցման հարցը Հայաստանի հասարակությանը հուզող գլխավոր թեմաներից է դարձել: Տևական ժամանակ է, ինչ սպասումներ են առաջացել Հայաստան մատակարարվող գազի գնի իջեցման վերաբերյալ, քանի որ էներգակիրների գների` համաշխարհային մակարդակով անկումը անհրաժեշտ նախադրյալներ է ստեղծել, որպեսզի ռուսական կողմը վերանայի գազային պայմանագիրը:

Այսպիսի իրավիճակում հասարակությունն ակնկալվում է, որ էժան գազ ստանալու հարցը արագ հանգուցալուծում կստանա:
Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Իրանից էժան գազի ստացման հարցում կան բազմաթիվ խոչընդոտներ: Առաջին հերթին անհրաժեշտ է նշել, որ Արևմուտքի կողմից Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ կիրառվող պատժամիջոցների և էներգակիրների գների անկման արդյունքում ռուսական տնտեսությունը հայտնվել է շատ բարդ կացության մեջ, ուստի Ռուսաստանի համար հեշտ չի իջեցնել գազի գինը և բաց թողնել լրացուցիչ եկամուտներ ստանալու հնարավորությունը:

Պարզ է, որ նույնիսկ այն պարագայում, երբ դժվարին տնտեսական իրավիճակում գտնվող Ռուսաստանը՝ գործ ունենալով իր ռազմավարական գործընկերոջ` Հայաստանի հետ, փորձելու է առաջ տանել իր շահերը: Սակայն ՀՀ էներգետիկայի նախարար Լևոն Յոլյանի և փոխարտգործնախարար Շավարշ Քոչարյանի հայտարարությունները, թե՝ ռուսական կողմի հետ բանակցությունները շարունակվում են գազի գինը լրացուցիչ իջեցնելու համար, կարող են նաև դրական սպասումների տեղիք տալ:

Դատելով Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի միջև գազային բանակցությունների ընթացից, կարող ենք նշել, որ այդ բանակցությունները բարդ փուլում են: Սակայն այս հանգամանքը չի նշանակում, որ կարելի է բացառել Հայաստանի համար ձեռնտու համաձայնության կայացումը:
