 Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի  ազգային հավաքականի և ռուսական «Ուրալ»-ի  հարձակվող Էդգար Մանուչարյանը հավաքականի համար կորուստ է համարում Յուրա Մովսիսյանի, Գևորգ Ղազարյանի և Ռոբերտ Արզումանյանի բացակայությունը: «Թե ինչու նրանք հավաքական չեն հրավիրվել, ավելի լավ կլինի մարզչին հարցնեք: Նրանք միշտ էլ մեր կողքին են եղել թե ուրախ, թե դժվար պահերին: Բայց մենք պետք է լրացնենք նրանց տեղը: Նրան ց կարիքը կզգանք, սակայն ինչ արած, սա ֆուտբոլ է, որտեղ ամեն ինչ պատահում է»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ հավաքականի բաց մարզումից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց Մանուչարյանը: 

Խոսելով հավաքականի նորեկների մասին՝ Մանուչարյանն ընդգծեց, որ նրանց հետ դեռ շատ չեն հասցրել մարզվել, սակայն եթե հավաքական են հրավիրվել, ուրեմն արժանի են դրան: «Եթե մարզիչը համարել է, որ նրանք այս պահին պատրաստ են խաղալ հավաքականում, ուրեմն ճիշտ որոշում է: Տեսնենք, ամեն ինչ պարզ կլինի խաղից հետո: Միայն այդ ժամանակ կկարողանանք ասել, ճիշտ է եղել այդ որոշումը, թե ոչ»,- ընդգծեց նա:

Ֆուտբոլիստը դրական տպավորություններ է ստացել հավաքականի նոր մարզիչ Վարուժան Սուքիասյանի գլխավորությամբ առաջին մարզումից: «Շատ լավ տպավորությունն ստացա: Բոլորն էլ գիտեն, որ Վարուժան Սուքիասյանը փորձառու մասնագետ է»,- ասաց Էդգար Մանուչարյանը:

Նա անդրադարձ կատարեց նաև ֆուտբոլի 2018թ.  Աշխարհի առաջնության որակավորման խաղերին, որոնց մեկնարկը տրվելու է այս տարվա աշնանը: «Ընտրական փուլին դեռ  ժամանակ կա, բայց ընկերական խաղերի արդյունքներից  պարզ կդառնա, թե մենք որքանով պատրաստ կլինենք ընտրական խաղերին: Իհարկե, ընկերական խաղերն էլ իրենց տեղն ունեն, մենք պետք է ողջ ուժերով խաղանք, հաղթենք, որպեսզի ընտրական փուլին մոտենանք լավ մարզավիճակում»,- եզրափակեց Էդգար Մանուչարյանը:
