Վերմոնտի նահանգից սենատոր Բեռնի Սանդերսը հաղթանակ Է տանում Յուտայի նահանգում Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության նախնական ընտրություններում (փրայմերիզ): Այս մասին հաղորդել Է CNN հեռուստաալիքը:
Տրված քվեաթերթիկների 52 տոկոսի հաշվումից հետո Սանդերսը հավաքել Է քվեների 79,2 տոկոս, իսկ նրա մրցակիցը՝ ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար Հիլարի Քլինթոնը՝ 20,4 տոկոսը:
Յուտայում ընտրություններն ավարտվել են մարտի 22-ի ուշ երեկոյան. ընտրողների կուտակման պատճառով ընտրատեղամասերը բաց են եղել հատկացված ժամանակից զգալիորեն ավելի երկար:
Սենատորը մարտի 22-ին նաեւ հաղթանակ Է տարել Այդահոյում կայացած՝ դեմոկրատների կուսակտիվի ժողովում (քոկուսում): Արիզոնայում կայացած փրայմերիզում քվեների 77 տոկոսի հաշվումից հետո առաջատարը Քլինթոնն Է. նա ունի քվեների 57,7 տոկոսը, Սանդերսը՝ 39,8 տոկոսը:
Բոլոր երեք նահանգներից դեմոկրատ-հավակնորդների համար Արիզոնան ամենամեծ «մրցանակն» Է. այս նահանգից համագումար կգնա 85 պատվիրակ, իսկ Յուտան կներկայացնի սոսկ 37-ը: Հուլիսի 25 – 28-ը ֆիլադելֆիայում (Փենսիլվանիայի նահանգ) կայանալիք՝ կուսակցության ազգային համագումարում ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնական թեկնածու առաջադրվելու համար հավակնորդը պետք Է հավաքի 2383 պատվիրակի քվե: CNN հեռուստաալիքի հաշվարկներով՝ Քլինթոնն այժմ ունի 1691, Սանդերսը՝ 895 ձայն, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
