Հնդկաստանի բնակչության ավելի քան 40 տոկոսը կարող Է մնալ առանց խմելաջրի

Հնդկաստանի բնակչության ավելի քան 40 տոկոսը մինչեւ 2030 թվականը կարող Է առանց խմելաջրի մնալ, եթե երկրում լուրջ միջոցներ չձեռնարկվեն դրա աղբյուրների կրճատման դեմ պայքարում: Այդ մասին լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է կենդանի բնության հնդիկ հայտնի պաշտպան Ռաջենդրա Սինգհը, որը հայր ենիքում «Հնդկաստանի ջրի մարդը» տիտղոսն Է ստացել ջրի պաշարների վերականգնման գործում իր ունեցած հաջողությունների համար:
«Հնդկաստանը բախվել Է ջրի պաշարների լուրջ ճգնաժամի, եւ եթե երկրում լուրջ միջոցներ չձեռնարկվեն դրա դեմ պայքարում, ապա մինչեւ 2030 թվականը Հնդկաստանի բնակչության 40 տոկոսը կարող Է մնալ առանց խմելաջրի,-կարծում Է Սինգհը:-Գետնաջրերը սպառվում են, մանր ջրային ճանապարհները կչորանան 90 տոկոսով, իսկ գետերի ջուրը կկրճատվի 60-65 տոկոսով»:
Իրադրություը բարդանում Է երկրի բնակչության հետագա աճով, ինչպես նաեւ ռացիոնալ ջրօգտագործման հմտությունների բացակայության պատճառով, այդ թվում՝ գյուղատնտեսության բնագավառում: «Հնդկաստանը հացահատիկային մշակաբույսերի աճեցման համար գրեթե երկու անգամ ավելի շատ ջուր Է օգտագործում Չինաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի համեմատությամբ»,-հայտնել Է փորձագետը:
Երկրի ջրային պաշարների վրա զգալի ազդեցություն Է գործում կենսակերպի փոփոխությունն այնպիսի խոշոր քաղաքներում, ինչպիսք են՝ Բանգալորը, Դելին, Մումբայը, որտեղ բնակչությունը հսկայական չափերով ջուր Է օգտագործում:
Ջրի դեֆիցիտի պատճառով երկրում արդեն սոցիալական հակամարտություններ են սկսվել, օրինակ, այժմ զգալի լարվածություն Է առաջացել հարեւան երկու հյուսիսային նահանգների՝ Հարիանի եւ Փենջաբի հարաբերություններում, բախումներ են սկսվել Մահարաշտրայի նահանգում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
