VIDEOԱռավել վատ ու տհաճ երեւույթ չկա, քան հարազատ երեխաներին նեղացնելն ու նրանց հաշվին ապրելը։ Միացյալ նահանգներում համակարգ կա, որի շրջանակներում ընտանիքները երեխայի են վերցնում մանկատնից՝ մինչեւ նրա չափահաս դառնալը եւ դրա համար պետությունից ամսական 713 դոլար են ստանում։ Սակայն ցավոք որոշ որդեգիր երեխաների հետ այդ ընտանիքներում շատ վատ են վարվում։
Եւ հաճախ ականատեսները ոչ մի կերպ չեն արձագանքում այդ երեւույթին։ Ամերիկյան հաղորդաշարերից մեկը հատուկ փորձ է իրականացրել, որի շրջանակներում իբր խորթ մայրը երեխաների հետ սրճարան է գնում եւ սկսում է տղա երեխային նվաստացնել՝ նրա համար ուտելիք չի պատվիրում, միայն իր հարազատ դստեր համար է պատվիրում։
Դրանից հետո նա սկսում է տղային ասել, թե նրան ոչ ոք չէր որդեգրի, եւ նա պետք է շնորհակալություն հայտնի իրեն։ Տղան սկսում է լաց լինել բազմաթիվ ականատեսների աչքի առաջ։ Շուտով մի կին է մոտենում ու սկսում հանդիմանել մորն ու ստիպում նրան երեխայի համար ուտելիք գնել։ Նա նաեւ զանգահարում է «համապատասխան մարմիններին», որպեսզի կնոջը պատասխանատվության ենթարկեն։ Այս փորձարկումը ցույց է տալիս, թե որքան կարեւոր է, որպեսզի մարդիկ անտարբեր չլինեն այն ամենի նկատմամբ, ինչ կատարվում է իրենց շուրջ։
