Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին մարտի 27-ին նշում է Քրիստոսի հրաշափառ հարությունը (Զատիկ):
Զատիկը զատման, բաժանման, մեղքերից հեռացման եւ առ Աստված վերադարձի տոնն է: Ինչպես Հին, այնպես էլ Նոր Կտակարաններում այն ամենակարեւոր տոներից մեկն է համարվում:
Քրիստոսի հարությունը քրիստոնեական դավանանքի հիմքում է ընկած:
Զատկի օրը մարդիկ ձվեր են ներկում: Ձուն հարության, նոր կյանքի խորհրդանիշն է համարվում: Իսկ կարմիր գույնը խաչի հանված Հիսուս Քրիստոսի կենարար արյան խորհրդանիշն է:
Ձուն կարմիր ներկելու մասին Սբ. Գրիգոր Տաթեւացին այսպես է գրում. «Միայն Զատկին ենք ձու ներկում, քանի որ այն տիեզերքն է խորհրդանշում` դրսի կեղևը նման է երկնքին, թաղանթը՝ օդին, սպիտակուցը՝ ջրին, դեղնուցն էլ երկիրն է: Իսկ կարմիր գույնը խորհրդանշում է, որ աշխարհը գնվեց Քրիստոսի արյամբ: Եվ մենք կարմիր ձուն մեր ձեռքերի մեջ առնելով` հռչակում ենք մեր փրկությունը»:
Սբ. Հարության տոնի նախընթաց երեկոյան եկեղեցիներում մատուցվում է Ճրագալույցի Սբ. Պատարագ, որով սկսվում են զատկական տոնակատարությունները: Առավոտյան եկեղեցիներում կատարվում է ժամերգություն, Անդաստանի արարողություն, ապա մատուցվում Սբ. Պատարագ: Սբ. Հարության տոնին հավատացյալները միմյանց ողջունում են Քրիստոս հարյավ ի մեռելոց ավետիսով, պատասխանում՝ Օրհնյալ է Հարությունը Քրիստոսի:
