Եվրոպական բազմաթիվ երկրների համար Ռուսաստանի նավթն ու գազն Ուկրաինայից ավելի կարեւոր են: Այս մասին New York Times-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ նախագահի թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփը:
«Ինձ թվում է՝ այն, ինչ այնտեղ տեղի էր ունենում, ոչ ոքի մեզանից ավելի շատ չէր անհանգստացնում: Չնայած աշխարհագրորեն մենք ավելի հեռու ենք: Բայց նույնիսկ Ուկրաինայի հարեւան երկրներն այդ մասին ոչինչ չեն ասում: Նայեք Գերմանիային եւ մյուս երկրներին: Նրանք այնպես են պահում իրենց, կարծես դա նրանց այնքան էլ չի վերաբերվում: Ինչո՞ւ է միշտ միայն ԱՄՆ-ն այդքան խորը միջամտում: Դա նաեւ մեզ է վերաբերվում, բայց շատ ավելի պակաս չափով: Իսկ մյո՞ւս երկրները: Հիշեք, թե որքան հաճախ են նրանք ասում՝ մենք պետք է կանգնեցնենք, պետք է կանգնեցնենք: Բայց չեն կանգնեցնում: Նրանց անհրաժեշտ են ռուսական նավթը, գազը եւ այլն: Այդ պատճառով էլ լռում են: Եվ միայն ԱՄՆ-ն է սկսում վիճել: Հետաքրքիր է ստացվում: Մե՛նք ենք պայքարում Ուկրաինայի համար. մե՛նք, եւ ուրիշ ոչ ոք՝ բացի հենց Ուկրաինայից: Սրանում արդարություն եւ տրամաբանություն չեմ տեսնում»,- հայտարարել է Թրամփը:
