Թուրքիան նոտաներ է հղել մի շարք եվրոպական երկրներին, որոնց հյուպատոսները մասնակցել են թուրքական «Ջումհուրիեթ» թերթի գլխավոր խմբագիր Ջան Դյունդարի եւ թերթի Անկարայի ներկայացուցիչ Էրդեմ Գյուլի դեմ դատավարությանը:
Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է«Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնում է թուրքական «Հուրիեթ» թերթը:
Նոտաներն ուղարկվել են Գերմանիային, Իտալիային, Ֆրանսիային, Հոլանդիային, Կանադային, Իտալիային եւ Լեհաստանին:
BBC-ին հայտնել էր, որ Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Ահմեթ Դավութօղլուն քննադատել էր այդ երկրում օտարերկրյա դիվանագիտական առաքելությունների ղեկավարներին այն բանի համար, որ վերջիններս մեծ հետաքրքրություն են դրսեւորում «Ջումհուրիեթ» թերթի լրագրողներ Ջան Դունդարի եւ Էրդեմ Գյուլի դեմ բացված դատական գործընթացի նկատմամբ, եւ դատավարությանը հետեւելու համար անգամ գնացել են Ստամբուլի արդարադատության պալատ: Դավութօղլուի խոսքով` լրագրողների դատաքննության նկատմամբ օտարերկրյա դեսպանների մեծ հետաքրքրությունը կարող է ճնշում գործել եւ ազդեցություն թողնել հետաքննության վրա, ինչը, ըստ նրա` «չի համապատասխանում դիվանագիտական նրբանկատությանն ու պրոֆեսիոնալիզմին»:
Նախօրեին Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը եւս` դիմելով դեսպաններին ասել էր. «Ով՞ եք դուք: Դուք ինչ՞ գործ ունեք այնտեղ: Սա ձեր երկիրը չէ, Թուրքիան է»:
«Ջումհուրիեթ» թերթի խմբագիր Ջան Դունդարը եւ թերթի Անկարայի ներկայացուցիչ Էրդեմ Գյուլն անցյալ տարի լուրեր եւ տեսանյութեր էին հրապարակել Սիրիայում ահաբեկիչների համար Թուրքիայի կառավարության կողմից զենք եւ սպառազինություն փոխադրվելու մասին, ինչի համար Էրդողանի հանձնարարությամբ դատախազությունը նրանց մեղադրել է լրտեսության մեջ եւ կալանավորել նոյեմբերի 26-ին: Միջազգային հանրության ճնշումների տակ մինչեւ դատական գործընթացի ավարտը Թուրքիայի սահմանադրական դատարանի որոշումով լրագրողները փետրվարի 26-ին պայմանական ազա տ են արձակվել: Թուրքիայի նախագահ Էրդողանը քննադատել էր սահմանդարական դատարանի որոշումը: Եթե նրանց դեմ բացված մեղադրանքները հաստատվեն, ապա թուրք լրագրողներին ցմահ ազատազրկման պատիժ է սպասվում:
