Կուբան «ինպերիալիզմի նվերների կարիքը չունի», իսկ երկրի ժողովուրդը «չի հրաժարվի այն փառքից, իրավունքներից եւ հոգեւոր հարստությունից, որոնք ստացել է կրթության, գիտության եւ մշակույթի զարգացման շնորհիվ»: Այդ մասին ասված է կուբայական հեղափոխության առաջնորդ Ֆիդել Կաստրոյի հոդվածում, որն առաջատար պարբերականներում հրապարակվել է    «Օբամա եղբայր» վերտառությամբ, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը: 

«Մենք մեր ժողովրդի ջանքերի եւ ինտելեկտի շնորհիվ ի վիճակի ենք արտադրել այն սննդամթերքն ու նյութական արժեքները, որոնք անհրաժեշտ են մեզ», - նշված է 89-ամյա Կաստրոյի հոդվածում, որը նա նվիրել է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի վերջերս տեղի ունեցած այցին: Նյութում ընդգծվում է. «Մենք նվիրված ենք երկրագնդի վրա ապրող բոլոր մարդկանց միջեւ խաղաղությանը եւ եղբայրությանը»:

Իր հրապարակման մեջ Կաստրոն մարտի 22-ին Հավանայի Ալիսիա Ալոնսոյի անվան Մեծ թատրոնում կուբացիների առաջ Օբամայի արած որոշ արտահայտություններ է վկայակոչում: Հոդվածում, մասնավորապես, նշված է, որ կղզու բնակիչները   «կաթված ստանալու ռիսկի» են ենթարկվել` իմանալով, թե Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարն ինչպես է իրենց մասին «մեղրոտ» ելույթներ ունեցել, իսկ Միացյալ Նահանգների քաղաքացիների մասին խոսել է որպես   «բարեկամների (մեկ ընտանիքի) անդամների եւ հարեւանների», ասել, որ իր այցի նպատակն է հետեւում թողնել Ամերիկյան մայրցամաքում սառը պատերազմի արձագանքները եւ  «բարեկամության ձեռք» մեկնել կուբացի ժողովրդին:  Կաստրոն ընդգծել է, որ Օբամայի այս խոսքերը հնչել են «դաժան (ամերիկյան) շրջափակումից հետո, որն արդեն գրեթե 60 տարի է տեւում, վարձկանների հարձակումների հետեւանքով (կուբացիների) զոհվելուց… եւ բռնության բազմաթիվ ակտերից հետո»:

Ինչպես նշել է Կաստրոն, Օբաման իր ելույթում խոսել է Կուբայի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի ձեւավորման բարդ փուլերի մասին` նշելով, որ երկու երկիրն էլ կառուցվել են Աֆրիկայից ներմուծված ստրուկների ձեռքով: Սակայն ամերիկյան նախագահը  «չի նշել, որ ռասայական խտրականությունը վերացվել է կուբայական հեղափոխության կողմից, իսկ բոլոր կուբացիների թոշակներն ու աշխատավարձերը հաստատվել են ավելի շուտ, քան ամերիկյան նախագահը 10 տարեկան կդառնար», ասված է հոդվածում:
