Տարեսկզբից Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել 164 հազար 752 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ, միաժամանակ 531 մարդ զոհվել կամ անհետ կորել Է՝ եվրոպական երկրներ հասնելու փորձ կատարելիս: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել են Միգրացիայի միջազգային կազմակերպությունում (ՄՄԿ):

Նրա տվյալներով՝ հունվարի 1-ից մինչեւ մարտի 29-ը Հունաստան Է ժամանել 149 հազար 534, Իտալիա՝ 15 հազար 218 մարդ: Այս տարի միջին հաշվով օրական Եվրոպայի ափ Է դուրս գալիս 1885 մարդ: «Սակայն զատկական տոներին Հունաստան ժամանածների օրական միջին թիվը նվազել Է՝ հասնելով մոտավորապես 500 միգրանտների ու փախստականների,-նշել են կազմակերպությունում:-Չկա հաղորդագրություն այն մասին, որ որեւԷ մեկն այդ օրերին ժամանել Է Իտալիա կամ Իսպանիա»: 

Տարեսկզբից Եվրոպա հասնելու փորձ անելիս զոհված կամ անհետ կորած մարդկանց թիվը հասել Է 531-ի, ինչը «9 տոկոսով ավելի Է, քան  2015 թվականի առաջին երեք ամսվա ընթացքում, երբ զոհվել Է 489 մարդ», նշել են ՄՄԿ-ում:

Ըստ Հունաստանի իշխանությունների հաղորդման, միգրանտների ու փախստականների հիմնական խումբը կազմում են սիրիացիները՝ տարեսկզբից ավելի քան 77 հազար ժամանածներ: Աֆղանստանից ժամանել Է ավելի քան 38 հազար մարդ, Իրաքից՝ ավելի քան 23 հազար, Պակիստանից՝ ավելի քան 5 հազար եւ Իրանից՝ ավելի քան 4 հազար հոգի:

2015 թվականի սկզբից Հունաստան են ժամանել 1 մլն 3 հազար 184 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
