Մարդու օրգանիզմի մեծ մասը կազմված է ջրից: Ջրի շնորհիվ է զարգանում երեխայի օրգանիզմի պաշտպանական ֆունկցիան, կատարվում արյան շրջանառությունն ու նպաստում երեխայի աճին ու զարգացմանը:

Երեխային խնամք ու հոգատարություն է անհրաժեշտ կյանքի առաջին վայրկյանից սկսած: Խնամքի կարևոր բաղադրիչներից է երեխայի ջրային լոգանքը: Սկզբնական շրջանում անփորձ մայրիկների համար առավել դժվարություն է ներկայացնում երեխային լողացնելը: Դժվար է երեխային պահել ձեռքում, երբ մարմինն օճառված է: Չնայած այս դժվարություններին երեխաների ճիշտ խնամքը չափազանց կարևոր է:

Տարվա ցուրտ եղանակին, եթե կան լողացնելու դժվարություններ, կարելի է պարզապես ամեն օր լվանալ երեսը, մարմնի ծալքերի հատվածները:

Մայրիկներին առավել հաճախ հետաքրքրում է, թե ի՞նչ հաճախականությամբ օգտագործել օճառ 1-2 տարեկան երեխաներին լողացնելիս: Օճառ կարելի է քսել ինչպես մեկ և բարձր, այնպես էլ մինչև 1 տարեկան երեխաների մարմնին, նաև գլխին. կարելի է մարմինն օճառել ձեռքով կամ փափուկ կտորով, միայն զգույշ, որպեսզի աչքերին օճառ չլինի: Նորածին երեխաների աչքերը պետք է լվանալ խոնավեցված բամբակով կամ փափուկ կտորով:

Ուշադրություն դարձրեք լոգարանի ջերմաստիճանին. այն պետք է լինի 21 աստիճանից ոչ ցածր: Եթե լոգանքը ոչ թե լոգարանում, այլ սենյակում է, հետևեք, որպեսզի միջանցիկ քամի չլինի: Երեխայի տաշտը դրեք այնպես, որպեսզի չսահի: Մինչև 7-8 ամսական երեխաներին հարմար է լողացնել կամ փոքր տաշտում, կամ մեծ լոգարանում հարմարեցված հատուկ հենարանի պայմաններում: Ջրի ջերմաստիճանը պետք է լինի մոտավորապես այնքան, որքան մարմնի ջերմաստիճանն է՝ 35-37 աստիճան: Քանի դեռ չեք կարողանում երեխային ջրում ամուր պահել, տաշտում լցրեք առավել քիչ ջուր, որպեսզի սահելու դեպքում երեխայի բերանը ջուր չլցվի: Համոզվեք, որ նախքան երեխային լողացնելը, վերցրել եք անհրաժեշտ իրերը՝ սրբիչ, բամբակ, մանկական օճառ: Երեխային լողացրեք առավել հարմար ժամերի:

1-2 տարեկան երեխաների համար, որոնք սիրում են գտնվել ջրում, նպատակահարմար է թողնել ոչ ավել, քան 10-15 րոպե: Այս ժամանակահատվածից հետո ջուրը սկսում է սառել, և շուտ մրսող երեխաների մոտ կարող են առողջական խնդիրներ առաջանալ: Ջրից հանելուց հետո զգուշությամբ չորացրեք ականջի խեցիները՝ կամ ականջի համար նախատեսված փայտիկներով, կամ փափուկ սրբիչով: Ոչ մի դեպքում փայտիկը մի մտցրեք ականջի լուսանցքը:

Ներկայումս գոյություն ունեն երեխաների խնամքի համար նախատեսված բազմապիսի յուղեր ու քսուքներ: Միշտ չէ, որ նման միջոցներն անհրաժեշտ են: Նման միջոցներն առավել հաճախ ոչ թե խնամում, այլ նոր խնդիրների պատճառ են դառնում: Յուղեր կարելի է օգտագործել միայն այն դեպքում, եթե երեխայի մաշկը չոր է: Իսկ փոշիներից պետք է առավել զգուշանալ:
