Մեր աշխարհը շատ ավելի հետաքրքրաշարժ և զարմանահրաշ է, քան մենք պատկերացնում ենք։ Ամեն Աստծո օր տեղի է ունենում մի նոր բան։ Ձեր առջև 10 զարմանահրաշ փաստեր են տարբեր ոլորտներից։ Եվ այսպես.
Այտերի փոսիկները՝ իրականում գենետիկական դեֆեկտ են։ Դա նշանակում է, որ մկանները ճիշտ չեն աճել և նրանց միջև առաջացել է փոսիկ։
1970-ական թվականներին, այսպիսի հոգեբանական փորձարկում է կատարվել. կապում էին մասնակիցների աչքերը և խնդրում էին մյուս խմբի հետ խաղալ «ճոպան ձգոցի»։ Արդյունքում, մասնակիցները, ում ասում էին, որ իրենց հետ ճոպանը ձգում են նաև երեք այլ մարդ՝ գործադրում էին 18 % ավելի քիչ ջանք, քան նրանք, ովքեր մտածում էին, որ ձգում են ճոպանը միայնակ։ Այս էֆեկտը անվանեցին «սոցիալական ալարկոտություն»։
Սասսեքսից մի հետազոտող, համակարգչային ծրագրին հանձնարարում է ստեղծել մի չիպ՝ օգտագործելով բնական ընտրության սկզբունքը։ Արդյունքում ստացվեց անհավանական արդյունավետ մի չիպ, որի մեխանիզմն հասկանալն ուղղակի անհնար է։

Ամերիկուհի Ջոան Գինտերը, 1993թ. շահում է վիճակախաղով։ Լինելով Սթենֆորդի համալսարանի վիճակագրության պրոֆեսոր, նա վերլուծում է ալգորիթմ, որն օգնում է ամեն անգամ ճշգրիտ հաշվել վիճակախաղի տոմսի հերթական շահող թվերը։ Ասում են, նա այժմ էլ տարվա մեջ ծախսում է երկու ամիս, փորձելով գուշակել հերթական վիճակախաղի հանելուկը։
2014թ. Վիչիտա քաղաքում (Կանզաս նահանգ), երեք մարդ մահանում է ավիացիոն մարզասարքի վրա ուսումնական «թռիչքի» ժամանակ, երբ ուսումնական կենտրոնին է բախվում իրական ինքնաթիռ։
Խորտակվող, խեղդվող մարդը ոչ մի կերպ չի կարող թափահարել ձեռքերը՝ ուշադրություն գրավելու նպատակով։ Անգիտակցաբար ենթարկվելով բնազդին, այդ պահին մարդը պարզում է ձեռքերը, փորձելով դուրս պրծնել ջրից, գլուխը ետ է տանում, որպեսզի բերանը բաց մնա ջրի մակերևույթին և հնարավոր լինի շնչել։
