ՀՀ Նախագահը մի շարք հանդիպումներ է ունեցել Թաֆթս համալսարանի իրավունքի և դիվանագիտության Ֆլեթչեր դպրոցում

ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը ԱՄՆ աշխատանքային այցի երրորդ օրը` մարտի 30-ին, այցելել է Թաֆթս համալսարանի իրավունքի և դիվանագիտության Ֆլեթչեր դպրոց: Հանրապետության Նախագահը հանդիպումներ է ունեցել միջազգային հարաբերություններով զբաղվող աշխարհի լավագույն դպրոցներից մեկի` Ֆլեթչերի դեկան Ջեյմս Ստավրիդիսի, «Թավիթյան» հիմնադրամի նախագահ Ասո Թավիթյանի, հիմնադրամի «Թավիթյան կրթական ծրագրի» շրջանակներում Ֆլեթչեր դպրոցում սովորող ՀՀ քաղաքացիների, դպրոցի պրոֆեսորադասախոսական կազմի հետ:Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Սերժ Սարգսյանն այդ հանդիպումների ընթացքում պատասխանել է նաև դասախոսներին ու կրթական ծրագրի մասնակիցներին հետաքրքրող հարցերին, որոնք վերաբերել են Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականությանը, տնտեսոթյան զարգացման հեռանկարային ու գերակա ուղղություններին և այլն: Թաֆթս համալսարանում ՀՀ Նախագահը հանդիպում է ունեցել նաև կրթական այս հաստատության նախագահ Էնթոնի Մոնակոյի հետ:
Ֆլեթչերն առաջարկում է տարբեր կրթաթոշակային ծրագրեր՝ դպրոցում սովորելու ցանկանություն ունեցող ուսանողներին: Ծագումով հայ երիտասարդներին աջակցելու համար 1980-ական թվականներին Ասո Թավիթյանի կողմից հիմնադրվել է «Թավիթյան» հիմնադրամը, որի միջոցներով Հայաստանի անկախացումից հետո Հանրապետության տաղանդավոր բազմաթիվ երիտասարդներ ուսանել են հեղինակավոր այս բուհում, և մինչ այժմ տարբեր պետական հաստատությունների երիտասարդ մասնագետներ շարունակում են օգտվել այդ հնարավորությունից` կատարելագործելով իրենց մասնագիտական կարողություններÕ ¨ Թավթս համալսարանի իրավունքի և դիվանագիտության Ֆլեթչեր դպրոցում։ Առ այսօր հիմնադրամը ֆինանսավորել է շուրջ 16 ծրագիր ՀՀ պետական հատվածի համար` շուրջ 15 մլն դոլար ներդրում կատարելով կրթաթոշակային ծրագրի իրականացման նպատակով։ «Թավիթյան» հիմնադրամը ֆինանսավորել է նաև Ֆլեթչեր դպրոցի դեկանների և ականավոր դասախոսների այցերը Հայաստան՝ հնարավորություն ընձեռելով նրանց ավելի լավ ծանոթանալու հայ ժողովրդին, տարածաշրջանին և առկա աշխարհաքաղաքական իրողություններին։ Ամեն տարի ծրագրին դիմում են հարյուրավոր մասնակիցներ։ Հիմնադրամը հանձնա ռու է շարունակելու ծրագիրն այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ ՀՀ կառավարությունը դրա կարիքը կունենա։ «Թավիթյան» հիմնադրամի և Ֆլեթչեր դպրոցի միջև համագործակցության արդյունքը ծրագրի ավելի քան 250 շրջանավարտներն են, ովքեր վերադարձել են Հայաստան՝ աշխատելու և այդպիսով իրենց ստացած գիտելիքներն ու ունակությունները ներդնելու հայրենիքում։
