Դարչինը ամենատարածված համեմունքներից է: Արևմտյան երկրներում այն օգտագործում են հիմնականում թխվածքների և ըմպելիքների հետ, ասիական երկրներում հանդիսանում է աղի բաղադրատոմսերի մաս:
