Այսօր բոլորս խորապես ցնցված և վրդովված ենք Կարեն Վարդանյանի դաժան սպանությամբ՝ մեր ընկերոջ, բարի մարդու, քաղաքագետ-վերլուծանանի, ինտելլեկտուալ-գիտակի, պարզապես միամիտ մարդու, ով իր կյանքում երբևէ որևէ մեկի հանդեպ որևէ բացասական քայլ ոչ միայն չէր արել, այլև վստահ եմ, որ չէր էլ մտածել։ Կարենին ճանաչողները կհաստատեն սա։ Վրդովված ենք անօգնական մարդու վստահությունը չարաշահելու և դաժաներեն սպանելու, դին էլ թաքցնելու փաստով, արդարացիորեն որակավորում ենք այն իբրև գազանին և ոչ մարդուն բնորոշ արարք։
Տարիներ առաջ նույնանման սպանություն ցնցել էր շատերիս, և գուցե սոցիալական ցանցի բացակայությունն էր պատճառը, որ Իոսիֆ Աղաջանովի՝ կրկին շատ բարի և շատ խելացի երիտասարդի սպանության արձագանքն այսօր փոքր-ինչ հանգչել է։ Օսիկին սպանած նրա ուսանողական ընկերը և նրա հանցակիցը այժմ կրում են իրենց պատիժը, սակայն հիմա, 20 տարի անց, հաճախ եմ հանդիպում համացանցում սպանության իրական դաժանությունը մեղմելու և անգամ Մհեր Ենոքյան կոչվող հանցագործի օգտին գրառումների։ Ցավալի է, բայց այս դաժանության հեղինակն այսօր հասարակության կողմից դարձել է ընկալելի..
Վախով և ցավով եմ պատկերացնում, որ կարող է անցնեն տարիներ, և Կարենին սպանած այս կենդանիներին ևս մեր հասարակությունը սկսի ընդունել և արդարացնել.. 
Կարեն ջան, հանգչիր խաղաղությանբ.. 
Մենք՝ քո ընկերները, ծանոթները, պարզապես ոչ անտարբեր մարդիկ, հետևելու ենք, որ այս գազանները ստանան և կրեն իրենց պատիժը՝ մինչև որ հասնեն Աստծո դատաստան։
