Ադրբեջանի գործողությունները մարտահրավեր են` ուղղված միջազգային հանրությանը: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց Արցախի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դավիթ Բաբայանը: «Ադրբեջանն ահաբեկչական, ֆաշիստական աննորմալ պետություն է: Սա մարտահրավեր է ամբողջ քաղաքակիրթ մարդկությանը: Վաշինգտոնում ընթանում են բանակցություններ, ամբողջ աշխարհÕ ¨ հավաքված է այնտեղ, իսկ Ադրբեջանը Թուրքիայի օժանդակությամբ նման քայլերի է գնում: Իհարկե, Ադրբեջանը մեր կողմից ստացել է համարժեք պատասխան, հսկայական զոհեր ունեն, հետ են շպրտվել, բայց ամեն դեպքում այսպիսի պահելաձևը պետք է համարժեք պատասխան ստանա միջազգային հանրության կողմից»,-ասաց Դավիթ Բաբայանը:
Նրա խոսքով, Ադրբեջանի այս գործողությունները 1994 թվականից այս կողմ կարելի է համարել աննախադեպ: «ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի հետ հանդիպումից հետո Ադրբեջանը շնորհակալություն էր հայտնել միջնորդության համար: Հիմա նույն Ադրբեջանը հարձակում է գործում: Մի բան ասում է, մեկ այլ բան անում: Մենք ենք այստեղ քաղաքակիրթ աշխարհի պատիվը պահում: Վերջապես պետք է միջազգային հանրության կողմից Ադրբեջանը կոշտ արձագանք ստանա նման պահվածքի համար: Միանշնակ է, որ միջազգային հանրությունը պետք է գործնական քայլերի գնա»,-ասաց Դավիթ Բաբայանը:
Արցախի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղարը նշեց, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից կրակոցները շարունակվում են, խոցվել է ադրբեջանական ուղղաթիռ, նրանք ունեն մեծ կորուստներ, հայկական կողմից իրավիճակը վերահսկելի է: Հայկական կողմում որևէ խուճապ չկա, Ադրբեջանի սահմանային հատվածում մեծ խուճապ է սկսվել:
Շփման գծի հարավային, հարավարևելյան և հյուսիսարևելյան ուղղություններով հակառակորդը ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը ձեռնարկել է բացահայտ հարձակողական գործողություններ` այլ զինատեսակների հետ միասին օգտագործելով հրետանի, զրահատեխնիկա և օդուժ: Բացի առաջնագծում ընթացող մարտերից, հակառակորդը հրետանային հարվածներ է հասցրել խաղաղ բնակավայրերի և մի շարք զորամասերի մշտական տեղակայման վայրերին:
Արցախի պաշտպանական գերատեսչության հաղորդագրության մեջ նշվում է. «Այս պահի դրությամբ ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկարությամբ տեղի են ունենում թեժ բախումներ:
