Ալիևը կրկին անգամ ապացուցում է, որ չի հարգում միջազգային կառույցներն ու երկրի առաջին դեմքերին: ԱՄՆ-ում այս օերին ընթանում եր Միջուկային անվտանգության հարցերով գագաթաժողովը, որին ներկա էին բազմաթիվ երկրներ ու այդ երկրները ներկայացված էին իրենց առաջին դեմքերով: Այնտեղ քննարկվում էին մարդկության անվտանգության ու խաղաղության հարցեր, բայց Ալիևն այս ամենի վրա թքած ունենալով գնաց աննախադեպ էսկալացիայի:

Ադրբեջանական մտածած սցենարը չիրականացավ, դրա մասին է փաստում իրենց մամուլի տևական ժամանակ լուռ մնալը: Ըստ ամենայնի նրանք որոշել էին որոշ հաջողությունից հետո մամուլով հայտարարել իրենց հաղթանակի մասին ու որոշ դիվիդենտներ էին փորձում շահել թուրքիայի համար, բայց հուժկու հակահարվածից ու կորուստներից հետո խուճապը բերեց լռության, սակայն լռությունը չպահպանվեց բնակչության կողմից: Համացանցում հայտնվեցին բազմաթիվ տեսանյութեր, թե ինչպես են ադրբեջանցիները խուճապահար փախչում:

Երկրորդ շնչառությամբ այս ամենի պատասխանատվությունը ադրբեջանցիները փորձեցին գցել հայկական կողմի վրա, բայց փնթի աշխատանքի արդյունքում haqqin.az-ը, որը նրանց իշանական լրատվական կայքն է, հայտնեց իրականությունն ու խոստովանեց, որ նախահարձակն են եղել հենց իրենց զինված ուժերը: Այս չստացված քարոզչությամբ, թե հայերն են նախահարձակ եղել նրանք փորձում էին լեգիտիմացնել իրենց զոհերը, խոցված ու կործանված տեխնիկան, բայց ադրբեջանական համացանցը լի է իշխանություններին ուղղված մեղադրանքներով և պատասխանատվության կոչերով, իրավիճակն արդեն իսկ իրենց համար անկառավարելի է:
