Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր, Եվրոպայի պահպանողականների և բարեփոխիչների խմբի անդամ դոկտոր Չարլզ Թեննոքը կոչ է անում հարգել Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացը, դադարեցնել բախումները: Նրա խոսքով` նավթի գնի անկման և բյուջետային ճնշումների պայմաններում Ադրբե ջանի կառավարության կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ռազմական ճանապարհով որևէ լուծման գնալը վերջին զբաղմունքը պետք է լինի: 

«Խորապես ցավում եմ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում վերջին բախումների համար, որտեղ իրավիճակը աստիճանաբար վատթարանում էր վերջին վեց ամիսների ընթացքում, սակայն ողբերգական լարվածությունն արձանագրվեց այս մի քանի օրերին ոչ միայն Ադրբեջանի կողմից դիպուկահարների կիրառմամբ, այլ նաև տանկերի, հրետանու և օդուժի օգտագործմամբ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ին ասաց եվրապատգամավորը: Չարլզ Թեննոքը կոչ արեց հակամարտության կողմերին հարգել Մինսի խմբի շրջանակում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացը և զերծ մնալ լարվածության հետագա աճից՝ վերադառնալով բանակցային սեղան:

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և առավոտյան հակառակորդը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծիողջ երկայնքով ձեռնարկել է լայնածավալ նախահարձակ գործողություններ, որոնց ընթացքում հրթիռահրետանային արկակոծման են ենթարկվում ոչ միայն հայկական զինուժի պաշտպանական դիրքերը, այլև խաղաղ բնակավայրերը: ԸստՊԲ օպերատիվ տվյալների, ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից ապրիլի 2-ին ժամը 08:30-ի սահմաններում Մարտունուպաշտպանական ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 («Գրադ») կայանքից իրականացված հրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով սպանվելէ 2004թ. ծնված Վաղինակ Թաթուլի Գրի գորյանը, ևս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են: ՊԲ առաջապահ ստորաբաժանումները պաշտպանական հաջող մարտեր են իրականացնում առաջնային գծի բոլոր ուղղություններով՝ հակառակորդին պատճառելով կենդանի ուժի և զինտեխնիկայի զգալի կորուստներ: ՊԲ օպերատիվ տվյալների համաձայն՝ հայկական զինված ուժերը խոցել են հակառակորդի երկու մարտական ուղղաթիռ, ոչնչացրել երեք տանկ և երկու անօդաչուսարք: ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը մշտական կապի մեջ է միջազգային կազմակերպությունների և օտարերկրյա պետությունների ռազմադիվանագիտական ներկայացուցիչների հետ՝ ղարաբաղա-ադրեջանական ուժերի շփման գծումիրադրության զարգացման վերաբերյալ տեղեկատվության փոխանակման և անհրաժեշտ խորհրդակցությունների նպատակով:
