Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարը կոչ է անում ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի վարչակազմին վճռական քայլեր ձեռնարկել, զսպել ու պատասխանատվության կանչել ագրեսոր կողմին։
Համագումարի տարածած հայտարարությունում, մասնավորապես, ասվումէ.
«Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարը վճռականորեն դատապարտում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի դեմ Ադրբեջանի ռազմական գործողությունները։
Համագումարը կրկին անգամ կոչ է անում ԱՄՆ նախագահի վարչակազմին վերականգնել եւ ամբողջությամբ ապահովել Ազատության աջակցության մասին օրենքի 907-րդ հոդվածը, որն արգելում է օգնություն տրամադրել Ադրբեջանին, քանի դեռ վերջինս չի դադարեցրել իր հարձակողական գործողությունները։
Մենք խորապես ցավում ենք մարդկային կորուստների համար։ Համագումարը միասնական է ողջ հայության հետ՝ պաշտպանելու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի ազատությունն ու անվտանգությունը արտաքին սպառնալիքների դեմ։
Մենք հիշում ենք նախագահ Օբմայի խոստումը՝ աշխատել ԼՂ հակամարտության կայուն եւ երկարատեւ կարգավորման ուղղությամբ, որն ընդունելի կլինի բոլոր կողմերի համար, եւ հիմնված կլինի ժողովրդավարության եւ ինքնորոշման սկզբունքներին Ամերիկայի հիմնարար նվիրվածության վրա։
Մենք կոչ ենք անում Օբամայի վարչակազմին վճռական քայլեր ձեռնարկել, զսպել ու պատասխանատվության կանչել ագրեսոր կողմին»։
Ավելի վաղ ԼՂՀ պաշտպանության բանակի մամուլի ծառայությունը հայտնել էր, որ 2016թ. ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը Ադրբեջանը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծի երկայնքով դիմել է բացահայտ հարձակողական գործողությունների՝ օգտագործելով տարբեր զինատեսակներ, այդ թվում՝ հրետանի, զրահատեխնիկա ու օդուժ։ 1994 թվականի հրադադարից հետո սա աննախադեպ սադրանք է Ադրբեջանի կողմից, որի ժամանակ հրթիռակոծվել են նաեւ խաղաղ բնակավայրեր, այդ թվում դպրոց։ Մարտունու պաշտպանական ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 կայանքից դպրոցի հրթիռակոծության հետեւանքով մահացել է 12-ամյա Վաղինակ Թաթուլի Գրիգորյանը, եւս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են:
Այս պահի դրությամբ, մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքում ադրբեջանական զինուժը տվել է 200-ից ավելի կորուստ: Միայն Թալիշի ուղղությամբ ոչնչացվել է ադրբեջանական հատուկ նշանակության ջոկատի առնվազն 30 զինվոր, Մարտակերտի ուղղությամբ՝ 2 տանկ, 2 անօդաչու թռչող սարք, իսկ հյուսիսային ուղղությամբ՝ 1 ուղղաթիռ: Առավել խոշոր բախումներ են տեղի ունենում մարտագծի հարավարեւելյան ուղղությամբ: Այս ուղղությամբ ՊԲ հակաօդայինների կողմից ժամը 12:30-ի սահմաններում խոցվել է թշնամական մեկ ռազմական ուղղաթիռ եւ 2 տանկ:
