Ուկրաինայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Պավլո Կլիմկինը կոչ է արել ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներին ակտիվացնել բանակցությունները Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման ուղղությամբ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, թվիթերյան իր միկրոբլոգում նմանատիպ գրառում է կատարել Ուկրաինայի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը: «Խորապես մտահոգված եմ Լեռնային Ղարաբ աղի հակամարտության գոտում իրավիճակի սրմամբ»,- գրել է Պավլո Կլիմկինը:

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և առավոտյան Ադրբեջանը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով ձեռնարկել է լայնածավալ նախահարձակ գործողություններ, որոնց ընթացքում հրթիռահրետանային արկակոծման են ենթարկվել ոչ միայն հայկական զինուժի պաշտպանական դիրքերը, այլև խաղաղ բնակավայրերը:

Ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից ապրիլի 2-ին ժամը 08:30-իսահմաններում Մարտունու պաշտպանական ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 («Գրադ») կայանքիցիրականացված հրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով սպանվել է 12-ամյա ՎաղինակԹաթուլի Գրիգորյանը, ևս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են: Ավելի ուշ Ստեփանակերտի հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխվել ևս չորս վիրավոր քաղաքացիական անձ:

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և օրվա ընթացքում տեղի ունեցած մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքում ադրբեջանական զինուժը տվել է 200-ից ավելի կորուստ: Շարքից հանվել է ընդհանուր առմամբ թշնամական 14 տանկ:

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Պաշտպանության բանակի՝ ժամանակին և արհեստավարժ գործողությունների շնորհիվ հնարավոր է եղել իրավիճակը վերցնել հսկողության տակ և զգալի կորուստներ հասցնել հակառակորդին: Հայկական կողմն ունի 18 զոհ և մոտ 37 վիրավոր: Առաջնային գծի հարավային ուղղությամբ ապրիլի 3-ին՝ ժամը 06:00-ից սկսած, հակառակորդը հրթիռահրետանային միջոցների և զրահատեխնիկայի կիրառմամբ շարունակել է ագրեսիվ ռազմական գործողությունների վարումը: ՊԲ ստորաբաժանումներն անցել են հակազդիչ գործողությունների և Թալիշի ուղղությամբ տիրել նախօրյակին ադրբեջանական ուժե րի կողմից գրավված մարտավարական կարևոր նշանակության հենակետին:
