Անգամ պատերազմական իրավիճակում ցանկացած քաղաքական քայլ պետք է ունենա իրավական հիմք. Որպեսզի ռուսական կողմը կատարի իր «դաշնակցային պարտականությունները», անհրաժեշտ է, որ Հայաստանը պատերազմի մեջ գտնվի երրորդ կողմի հետ, իսկ քանի որ Արցախի հարցը օդից կախված է, և այն իրավաբանորեն չի համարվում Հայաստանի տարածք, ՌԴ-ից օգնություն ակնկալելն ու պահանջելը անիմաստ է։ 
Երկրորդ, նույնիսկ խիստ անցանկալի է, որ որևէ կերպ Ռուսաստանը ուղղակի օգնություն ցուցաբերի հայկական կողմին, որովհետև նախ՝ Հայոց բանակի միջոցները լիովին բավարար են Ադրբեջանի դեմ առանձին պատերազմում հաղթելու համար։ 
Երկրորդ ՝ ռուսական օգնությունը(անգամ զուտ դաշնակցային պարտականությունները կատարելու պարագայում ) ենթադրում է անկանխատեսելի հետևանքներ, ընդհուպ մինչև ռուսական խաղաղապահների տեղակայում, որը որևէ կերպ չի բխում Հայաստանի շահերից։ 
Հետևաբար անհիմն է կարծիքը, թե պետք է Արցախը միացնել Հայաստանին, որպեսզի ստանանք ՀԱՊԿ - ի պես չկայացած կառույցի աջակցությունը։ Այո, վաղուց ժամանակն է Արցախը ճանաչել ՀՀ անբաժանելի մաս, որովհետև դժվար թե երկրորդ անգամ մեզ ընձեռվի երկրորդ շանս ստեղծված իրավիճակի առումով։ Բայց նույնիսկ այդ պարագայում պետք է հրաժարվել դաշնակիցների «օգնությունից», քանի դեռ մենք պատերազմում ենք Ադրբեջանի դեմ «ադին նա ադին», իսկ եթե կոնֆլիկտը դուրս գա այդ շրջանակներից, ապա մենք ի զորու չենք ազդելու հետագա գործընթացների վրա գլոբալ առումով։
