Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Միկայել Ժանը խոր մտահոգություն է հայտնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում թշնամական գործողությունների վերսկսման առնչությամբ: Կազմակերպության տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ շեշվում է, որ գլխավոր քարտուղար Ժանը կոչ է արել կողմերին վերսկսել խաղաղության բանակցությունները ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի շրջ անակներում՝ հակամարտության երկարատև լուծում գտնելու նպատակով:

«Կոչ եմ անում կողմերին անմիջապես դադարեցնել մարտերը, հարգել հրադադարը և ձեռնարկել բոլոր անհրաժեշտ միջոցները բռնություններից և լարվածության աճից խուսափելու համար»,- նշել է Միկայել Ժանը:

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և առավոտյան Ադրբեջանը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանականհակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով ձեռնարկել է լայնածավալնախահարձակգործողություններ, որոնց ընթացքում հրթիռահրետանային արկակոծման ենենթարկվել ոչմիայն հայկական զինուժի պաշտպանական դիրքերը, այլև խաղաղբնակավայրերը: Ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից ապրիլի 2-ին ժամը 08:30-իսահմաններումՄարտունուպաշտպանական ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 («Գրադ») կայանքիցիրականացվածհրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով սպանվել է 12-ամյա Վաղինակ ԹաթուլիԳրիգորյանը, ևսերկու երեխա վիրավորվել են: Ավելի ուշ Ստեփանակերտի հիվանդանոց էտեղափոխվել ևս չորսվիրավոր քաղաքացիական անձ: Իսկ ապրիլի 3-ին հայտնի դարձավ, որԹալիշում նախօրեին ադրբեջանցիները գազանային կերպով գնդակահարել են երեք խաղաղբնակչի, որոնք չէին հասցրել տարհանվել: Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Պաշտպանության բանակի՝ժամանակին և արհեստավարժգործողությունների շնորհիվ հնարավոր է եղել իրավիճակըվերցնել հսկողության տակ և զգալիկորուստներ հասցնել հակառակորդին. ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-իգիշերը և օրվա ընթացքում տեղիունեցած մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքումադրբեջանական զինուժը տվել է 200-300 կորուստ: Շարքից հանվել է ընդհանուր առմամբթշնամական մոտ 20 տանկ, մեկ «Գրադ»կայանք: Հայկական կողմն ունի 18 զոհ և մոտ 37վիրավոր: Առաջնային գծի հարավային ուղղությամբապրիլի 3-ին՝ ժամը 06:00-ից սկսած,հակառակորդը հրթիռահրետանային միջոցների ևզրահատեխնիկայի կիրառմամբ շարունակել էագրեսիվ ռազմական գործողություններիվարումը: ՊԲ ստորաբաժանումներն անցել ենհակազդիչ գործողությունների և Թալիշիուղղությամբ տիրել նախօրյակին ադրբեջանականուժերի կողմից գրավված մարտավարականկարևոր նշանակության հենակետին:
