Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի առաջնորդողից մի հատված.

«Ապրիլի լույս 2-ի գիշերն Ադրբեջանը հարձակվեց Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի զինված ուժերի և խաղաղ բնակավայրերի վրա։ Արդեն չորրորդ օրն Է՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը պատերազմում Է ադրբեջանական ագրեսիայի դեմ։ Արդեն չորրորդ օրն է՝ պատերազմում Է ոչ միայն՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը, այլև՝ ողջ հայ ժողովուրդը՝ բառի ուղիղ և փոխաբերական իմաստով։ Անցած չորս օրերը ցույց տվեցին, որ այն, ինչից վախենում Էինք բոլորս տարիներ շարունակ, բարեբախտաբար, տեղի չունեցավ։ Իսկ վախենում Էինք նրանից, որ սոցիալական անարդարությունը, անհավասարությունը, հասարակությունը յուրայինների ու օտարների բաժանելը և Էլի շատ արատավոր երևույթներ մարդկանց հուսալքել են այնքան, որ անգամ պատերազմի վտանգը չէր կարող արթնացնել այն ոգին ու միասնականությունը, որի շնորհիվ 1994 թվականին արձանագրվել է հաղթանակը Ղարաբաղյան պատերազմում։ Բարեբախտաբար, դա տեղի չունեցավ, այլ տեղի ունեցավ ճիշտ հակառակը, հասարակությունը՝ բոլոր խավերով ու շերտերով, ավելի շատ՝ լուռ, քան ճոռոմ պաթոսով ցույց տվեց աննախադեպ համախմբվածություն՝ նույնքան անխոս պատասխանելով վերջին մեկ-երկու տասնամյակների ընթացքում Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած բոլոր արատավոր երևույթներին ու դրանց հեղինակներին։ Անցած չորս օրերը մտածելու անսպառ նյութ պետք է դառնան, ու, հուսանք, կդառնան բոլոր նրանց համար, ովքեր տարիներ շարունակ գիտակցված կամ ոչ՝ հանցավոր գործողությամբ կամ հանցավոր անգործությամբ, հիմք էին տվել մտածելու ու վախենալու, որ մեր հասարակությունը զրկվել է անգամ արտաքին թշնամու ագրեսիայի դեպքում համախմբվելու ունակությունից։

Անցած օրերին տեղի ունեցածը ցույց տվեց, որ մեր հասարակությունը, հայ ժողովուրդն իրականում ունի անպատկերացնելի ներքին պոտենցիալ, որ հասարակության համար կան անբեկանելի ու անառարկելի արժեքներ, հանուն որոնց՝ մարդիկ պատրաստ են զոհվել։ Բառի ուղիղ և փոխաբերական իմաստով։ Ապրիլի 2–ի գիշերը  տեղի ունեցածը երկար ժամանակ դառնալու է ու պետք է դառնա ռազմական, քաղաքական, հասարակական քննարկումների առարկա։ Ու շատ կարևոր է, որպեսզի ցանկացած նման քննարկման ու, որ ավելի կարևոր է՝ որոշումների կայացման ժամանակ բոլորը՝ իշխանություններն ու ընդդիմությունը, զինվորականներն ու մտավորականները, հիշեն հասարակական այս պոտենցիալի մասին։ Որովհետև այս պոտենցիալով հնարավոր է դիմակայել ոչ միայն՝ ռազմական ագրեսիային, այլ նաև՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ինքնիշխանության նկատմամբ կատարվող ցանկացած ոտնձգության, այդ թվում՝ քաղաքական ու աշխարհաքաղաքական։ Այս պոտենցիալով հնարավոր է դիմակայել ոչ միայն՝ զինված հակառակորդին, այլև՝ ժպտացող ու այդ ժպիտով հակառակորդին զինող «բարեկամին» ու «դաշնակցին»։ Անցած չորս օրերը ցույց տվեցին, որ Հայաստանի ու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ինքնիշխանության ու անվտանգության միակ ու հուսալի աղբյուրը հայ ժողովուրդն է, որը, դժբախտաբար, հերթական անգամ իր լինելիությունն ապացուցելու համար ստիպված եղավ վճարել երիտասարդ զինվորների ու խաղաղ բնակիչների կյանքով»,–գրում է թերթը։
