Չինաստանում փրկարարները որոշում են ընդունել աշխատանքներ սկսել Յանցզիում խորտակված «Արեւելյան աստղ» զբոսանավը գետի հատակից դուրս բերելու համար: Այդ մասին հաղորդել Է «Սինհուա» գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով երկրի տրանսպորտի նախարարությանը:

Ինչպես նշում Է գործակալությունը, նախարարությունը մի քանի անգամ վերանայել Է որոնողափրկարարական գործողության պլանը: Հունիսի 4-ի ցերեկը որոշում Է ընդունվել նավը բարձրացնել գետի մակերեւույթ եւ շրջել այն, քանի որ զբոսանավը գտնվում Է շրջված վիճակում: Հաղորդվում Է, որ աշխատանքները պլանավորվում Է սկսել տեղական ժամանակով ժամը 20:00-ին: Նաեւ ճշտվում Է, որ այն բանից հետո, երբ նավը կշրջվի, փրկարարները կկարողանան օպերատիվ կարգով խուզարկել նավախցերը՝ կորած ուղեւորներին գտնելու համար: Ենթադրվում Է, որ նավի բարձրացման եւ այնուհետեւ այն շրջելու գործողությունը կտեւի շուրջ 5 ժամ:

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել Է, որ Չինաստանի Հուբեյի նահանգում Յանցզի գետում «Արեւելքի աստղ» զբոսանավի խորտակման զոհերի թիվը հասել է 75-ի:

Նավի խորտակման վայրում շարունակվում է ընդգրկուն որոնողա-փրկարարական գործողությունը, որին մասնակցում է շուրջ 4 հազար մարդ եւ 110 նավեր: Ներկայում պատահարի վայրում աշխատում են 180 ջրասուզակներ: Բացի այդ, օդից ողբերգության վայրի նկատմամբ դիտարկում իրականացնելու համար ուղարկվել են հինգ ուղղաթիռ եւ Իլ-76 փոխադրական ինքնաթիռ: Փրկարարները ցանցեր են դնում խորտակված զբոսանավի շուրջը, որպեսզի հոսանքը չտանի ողբերգության հավանական զոհերի մարմինները:

Նավը խորտակվել Է հունիսի 1-ին՝ տեղական ժամանակով ժամը 21:28-ին (Երեւանի ժամանակով ժամը 17:28-ին): Այն Նանկինից ուղեւորվում Էր Չունցին: Նավի վրա եղել Է 458 մարդ, ներառյալ 406 ուղեւոր, անձնակազմի 47 անդամ եւ տուրիստական գործակալությունների 5 աշխատակից: Նավապետը եւ գլխավոր ինժեները հայտնել են, որ խորտակումից առաջ նավը ենթարկվել Է ցիկլոնի հարվածին: Պատահածից հետո նավապետն ու ինժեները ձերբակալվել են ու հարցաքննվել, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
