 Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը փորձելու է ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում կատարվող իրադարձություններն իր ժողովրդին որպես հաղթանակ ներկայացնել: Այս մասին ապրիլի 7-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում նշեց քաղաքագետ, Քաղաքական  և միջազգային հետազոտությունների հայկական կենտրոնի տնօրեն Աղասի Ենոքյանը:

«Ոչ Հայաստանը և ոչ էլ առավել ևս Ադրբեջանն այս ընթացքում չլուծեցին իրենց քաղաքական խնդիրները: Ալիևը շռնդալից պատերազմի մասին խոսեց ու թանկ գին վճարեց դրա համար, բայց հիմա պետք է բացատրի, թե ինչու չստացվեց: Գուցե ներկայացնի, որ սա հաղթանակ էր, բայց, իհարկե, պարզ է, որ ոչինչ չստացվեց»,- նշեց Աղասի Ենոքյանը:

Քաղաքագետի համոզմամբ` ցավալի է, որ միջազգային լրատվության մեջ գերակշռում է ադրբեջանական կայքերի տեղեկատվությունը: «Հայկական կայքերում քիչ է անգլերեն տեղեկատվությունը: Տեղեկատվության առումով ակտիվացման լրջագույն խնդիր ունենք»,-շեշտեց նա: 

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և առավոտյան Ադրբեջանը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով ձեռնարկել էլայնածավալ նախահարձակ գործողություններ, որոնց ընթացքում հրթիռահրետանային արկակոծման են ենթարկվել ոչ միայն հայկական զինուժիպաշտպանական դիրքերը, այլև խաղաղ բնակավայրերը: Ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից ապրիլի 2-ին Մարտունու ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 («Գրադ»)կայանքից իրականացված հրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով սպանվել է 12-ամյա Վաղինակ Գրիգորյանը, ևս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են:Ավելի ուշ Ստեփանակերտի հիվանդանոց են տեղափոխվել ևս չորս վիրավոր քաղաքացիական անձինք: Իսկ ապրիլի 3-ին հայտնի դարձավ, որԹալիշում նախօրեին ադրբեջանցիները գազանաբար գնդակահարել, խոշտանգել ու խեղել են երեք խաղաղ բնակիչների: Հայկական կողմը 32կորուստ ունի, 25 զինծառայող անհայտ կորած է, 121 մարդ՝ վիրավոր: Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Պաշտպանության բանակի ժ ամանակին ևարհեստավարժ գործողությունների շնորհիվ հնարավոր է եղել իրավիճակը վերցնել վերահսկողության տակ և զգալի կորուստներ պատճառելհակառակորդին. ապրիլի 1-5-ը տեղի ունեցած մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքում ադրբեջանական զինուժը տվել է ավելի քան 300կորուստ (որոշ տեղեկություններով` զոհերի ու վիրավորների թիվը նշվում է 2000), ոչնչացվել է 24 տանկ, 3 հետևակի մարտական մեքենա, 1ինժեներական տեխնիկա, 2 ուղղաթիռ, 7 անօդաչու սարք, 1ՄՄ 21ռեակտիվ հրետանու մարտական մեքենա: Ապրիլի 5-ին՝ ժամը 12:00-ին, շփմանգծում դադարեցվել է կրակը` Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբների պետերի` Մոսկվայում ձեռք բերած պայմանավորվածությանհամաձայն: Ադրբեջանն ինտենսիվ խախտում է պայմանավորվածությունը` ապրիլի 6-ի լույս 7-ի գիշերը կատարելով դիվերսիոն անհաջող երկուփորձ, ապրիլի 6-ի գիշերը կրակի տակ պահելով անգամ ՀՀ Վարդենիս քաղաքը:
