ԱՄՆ-ն անհրաժեշտ Է համարում Իրանի աջակցությունը Սիրիայում եւ Եմենում հակամարտությունների դադարեցման գործին: Այդ մասին ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերին հայտարարել Է ապրիլի 7-ին Բահրեյնում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում:
«Իրանը պարտավոր Է օգնել՝ դադարեցնելու Սիրիայի եւ Եմենի հակամարտությունները»,-ասել Է Քերին, որը ժամանել Է Բահրեյն՝ Պարսից ծոցի երկրների արտաքին գործերի նախարարների հետ քննարկելու տարածաշրջանային խնդիրները եւ ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի համատեղ ջանքերը:
Նա նշել Է, որ արաբական աշխարհում Իրանի գործողությունները հարուցում են ԱՄՆ-ի անհանգստությունը, ինչի կապակցությամբ Վաշինգտոնը հորդորում Է Թեհրանին՝ «դադարեցնել հակամարտությունների հրահրումը տարածաշրջանում»:
Դրա հետ մեկտեղ Քերին ընդգծել Է, որ Պարսից ծոցի երկրների հետ ԱՄՆ-ի հարաբերությունները ռազմավարական են եւ հենվում են ընդհանուր շահերի վրա:
Իր հերթին Բահրեյնի արտաքին գործերի նախարարն Իրանին մեղադրել Է այն բանում, որ նա «չի ցանկանում հետեւել բարիդրացիության կանոններին եւ տարածաշրջանի երկրների ներքին գործերին չմիջամտելու սկզբունքներին»:
Հունվարի սկզբին Բահրեյնը ու եւս հինգ երկրներ, որոնք մտնում են Պարսից ծոցի արաբական պետությունների համագործակցության խորհրդի մեջ, դադարեցրել են դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններն Իրանի հետ այս երկրում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչության վրա կատարված հարձակումներից հետո, որոնք հրահրվել Էին թագավորությունում շիա հայտնի քարոզիչ Նիմրա ան Նիմրայի մահապատժով, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
