Վրաստանի քաղաքացիների ավելի քան 50 տոկոսը կարծիք Է հայտնել, որ երկիրը պետք Է պահպանի արեւմտամետ քաղաքականությունը, բայց լավ հարաբերություններ պահպանի Ռուսաստանի հետ: Դա, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հետեւում Է այն հարցման տվյալներից, որն անցկացվել Է Ամերիկյան ազգային դեմոկր ատական ինստիտուտի (NDI) կողմից:

Հարցված քաղաքացիների 52-տոկոսի կարծիքով՝ Վրաստանը պետք Է արեւմտամետ քաղաքականություն վարի եւ միեւնույն ժամանակ լավ հարաբերություններ պահպանի Ռուսաստանի հետ: Հարցվածների շուրջ 14 տոկոսը կարծիք Է հայտնել, որ երկրի  քաղաքականությունը պետք Է արեւմտամետ լինի:

Հարցման տվյալների համաձայն՝ մասնակիցների 20 տոկոսը հանդես Է գալիս Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցելու օգտին: Նախորդ հարցումները ցույց Էին տալիս, որ այդ թիվը հասել Է 30 տոկոսի: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ հարցվածների 60 տոկոսից ավելին ցանկանում Է, որ Վրաստանը դառնա Եվրամիության անդամ: 

Սոցիոլոգիական հետազոտությունը Վրաստանում անցկացվել Է փետրվարի 23-ից մինչեւ մարտի 14-ը: Հարցմանը մասնակցել Է շուրջ 3,9 հազար մարդ:

Վիճակագրական սխալանքը կազմել Է 1,6 տոկոս:

NDI-ի հետազոտությունը ֆինանսավորում Է Միջազգային զարգացման եւ համագործակցության շվեդական գործակալությունը (SIDA): Հարցումներն անցկացնում Է Կովկասի հետազոտական ռեսուրսների կենտրոնը (CRRC), հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
