 Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորմանը հնարավոր է հասնել բացառապես քաղաքական ճանապարհով: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը,այս մասին «Ուղիղ գիծ» շփման ժամանակ ասել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը: «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունը շատ զգայուն թեմա է, և մենք պետք է դ րան շատ զգուշավոր մոտեցում ցուցաբերենք` բժշկական հայտնի` «Մի վնասիր» սկզբունքով: Դա հնագույն հակամարտություն է: Այն սառեցված վիճակում էր: Դժբախտաբար, տեղի ունեցավ բռնության բռնկում: Մենք կանենք ամեն բան` խնդիրը կարգավորելու, երկու կողմերի համար ընդունելի որոշում գտնելու նպատակով: Իհարկե, ԼՂ հարցով անհրաժեշտ է երկարատև լուծում: Դրան հնարավոր է հասնել բացառապես քաղաքական ճանապարհով, այդ հարցում պետք է գտնել փոխզիջում: Մենք մի քանի տարի առաջ, ինձ թվում էր, որ գործնականում հասել էինք նրան, որ երկու կողմերից էլ կլիներ այդ փոխզիջումը, սակայն պարզվեց, որ դա, դժբախտաբար, այդպես չէր»,- ասել է Պուտինը:

Նա նշել է, որ ՌԴ-ն շարունակելու է համագործակցել հայկական և ադրբեջանական կողմերի հետ խնդրի լուծում գտնելու նպատակով: «ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման նպատակով մենք աշխատելու ենք միջազգային կառույցների շրջանակում, ինչպես նաև այս համագործակցությունը շարունակելու ենք երկկողմ կարգով: Ռուսաստանը, ով ինչ էլ ասի, հետաքրքրված է խնդրի կարգավորման հարցով, քանի որ մենք ցանկանում ենք լիարժեքորեն աշխատել ինչպես Ադրբեջանի, այնպես էլ Հայաստանի հետ»,- ասել է ՌԴ նախագահը:

Նա անդրադարձել է նաև Ռուսաստանում բնակվող հայերի ու ադրբեջանցիների հարցին` ասելով. «Մեզ մոտ` Ռուսաստանում, բնակվում են մեծ թվով հայեր ու ադրբեջանցիներ, միլիոնների մասին է խոսքը: Բարեբախտաբար, ՌԴ տարածում մենք խնդիրներ չունենք: Ավելին, ես գիտեմ հայերի ու ադրբեջանցիների, ովքեր չնայած բոլոր ողբերգական իրադարձություններին, շարունակում են պահպանել բարիդրացիական միջանձնային հարաբերություններ: Կարծում եմ, որ դա շատ ճիշտ է: ՌԴ-ն կշարունակի իր ներդրումն ունենալ: Սակայն, բնականաբար, վերջնական որոշումը լինելու է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ժողովուրդներինը»:
