Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը ադրբեջանական բանակի ագրեսիայի հետևանքներից ու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի սահմանին տիրող լարված իրավիճակից մտահոգ մի խումբ հայ մշակութային գործիչներ հանդես են գալիս ԵԱՀԿ-ին ուղղված բաց նամակով` կոչ անելով զսպել ադրբեջանական ագրեսիան և ռասիզմը: Նախաձեռնությունը մեկնարկել է դերասան, հումորիստ Մկրտիչ Արզումանյանը` ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում հանդես գալով հետևյալ կոչով.

«ԵԱՀԿ-ի հարգելի անդամներ,

Իմ անունը Մկրտիչ է, ես հայ եմ:

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի իմ եղբայրներն ու քույրերը մոտ երկու տասնամյակ ապրել են խաղաղության մեջ:

Նրանք ստեղծել են ժողովրդավարական պետություն, որով հպարտանում են:

12-ամյա Վաղինակը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից էր (հայտնի է նաև, որպես Արցախ): Նա և նրա եղբայրը դպրոցի ճանապարհին էին, երբ տղան զոհվեց ադրբեջանական բանակի հրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով: Նրա եղբայրն ու ընկերը ծանր վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են հիվանդանոց: Ոչ մի երեխա չպետք է զոհվի դպրոց գնալիս` ուսում և լավ ապագա ստանալու ճանապարհին: Ոչ մի բանակ իրավասու չէ սպանել անմեղ մարդկանց և ոչնչացնել նրանց բնակավայրերը, դպրոցներն ու գյուղերը: Ադրբեջանական բանակը պատերազմական հանցագործություններ է գործում` տարածելով ռասայական և կրոնական ատելություն և թշնամանք: Սա, միանշանակ, անընդունելի է: Ես մեծապես դատապարտում եմ Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների հանցագործ քայլերը և խնդրում եմ, որ կանգնեցնեք Ալիևին և ասեք` «ոչ» ռասիզմին:
