«Կինոարդյունաբերության մեջ հայտնի միակ հանճարը». Այսօր ծնվել է Չարլի Չապլինը

1889 թ-ի հենց այս օրը` ապրիլի 16-ին, ծնվել է համաշխարհային կինոարդյունաբերության ամենասիրելի կերպարին` թափառաշրջիկ Չարլիին, ստեղծած եւ մարմնավորած ամերիկացի դերասան, ռեժիսոր եւ սցենարիստ Չարլի Չապլինը:
1919 թ-ին` Մերի Պիկֆորդի, Դուգլաս Ֆերբենսկու եւ Դեւիդ Գրիֆիտի հետ միասին Չապլինը հիմնադրեց United Artists կինոստուդիան:
Չարլի Չապլինը համր կինոյի ամենաազդեցիկ ներկայացուցիչներից մեկն է եղել: Դերասանի ստեղծագործական կյանքի վրա մեծ ազդեցություն է ունեցել երգիծաբան եւ դերասան Մարկ Լինդերը:
Նրա կարիերան սկվել է շատ վաղ տարիքից: Փոքր հասակում Չարլին խաղում էր Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Music Hall թատրոնի բեմում: Իր ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում Չապլինը եղել է կինոյի աշխարհում: Նա նկարահանվել է մինչեւ իր կյանքի վերջին տարիները` անգամ 88 տարեկան հասակում:
1999 թ-ին Ամերիկայի կինոարվեստի ինստիտուտը Չապլինին դասել է կինոաշխարհի 100 տարիների 100 ամենաազդեցիկ ներկայացուցիչների ցուցակի 10-րդ հորիզոնականում:
