 ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի անդամները հայաստանյան իրենց այցը կավարտեն ապրիլի 16-ին, իսկ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետություն գնալու հարցը կթողնեն ավելի ուշ ժամանակի: Հայոց ցեղասպանության անմեղ զոհերի հուշահամալիր այցելությունից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին տեղեկացրեց ՌԴ ԴԺ Դաշնության խորհրդի պաշտպանության և անվտանգության կոմիտեի նախագահի առաջին տեղակալ Ալեքսանդր Չեկալինը: Ուղղված այն հարցին ի պատասխան, որ ՀՀ ԱԺ պատգամավոր Կորյուն Նահապետյանը ռուս գործընկերներներին առաջարկել էր այցելել ԼՂ ու տեղում ծանոթանալ իրավիճակին` ռուս խորհրդականն ասաց. «Ես կարծում եմ՝ դա ավելի ուշ տեղի կունենա, քանի որ մեր գրաֆիկն այլ է: Այսօր մենք վերադառնում ենք Մոսկվա, արդեն վաղը չէ մյուս օրը կսկսվի մեր խորհրդարանական աշխատանքը»:

Ապրիլի 15-ին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում աշխատանքն էր սկսել ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի պաշտպանության, ազգային անվտանգության եւ ներքին գործերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի եւ ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի պաշտպանության եւ անվտանգության կոմիտեի համատեղ նիստը, որին մասնակցում էին երկու երկրների պաշտպանական գերատեսչությունների, անվտանգության ծառայությունների, ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության եւ գիտակրթական ու գիտահետազոտական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ: Կողմերը համատեղ աշխատանքի արդյունքում համատեղ հայտարարություն ընդունելու մտադրություն ունեն:  

Չեկալինը տեղեկացրեց, որ համատեղ հայտարարության  տեքստը մշակում կանցնի մի դաշնային խորհրդի մի քանի հանձնաժողովներում: Նա նշեց, որ անհամաձայնության հարց չկա, պարզապես կա ձևավորված կարգ, ըստ որի իրենք որոշումները պետք է կայացնեն իրենց մյուս գործընկերների հետ քննարկումներից հետո:

ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի պաշտպանության և անվտանգության կոմիտեի նախագահի տեղակալ Բայիր Ժամսուևն էլ նկատեց, որ իրենք Հայաստանից գնում են` տանելով հայ կոլեգաների տեսակետը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ, որը կարտացոլվի համատեղ հայտարարության մեջ:

ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի պաշտպանության և անվտանգության կոմիտեի անդամ Ալեքսեյ Կոնդրատևն էլ, անդրադառնալով համատեղ հայտարարության հարցին, նշեց, որ շատ հարցերում համակարծիք են հայկական կողմի դիրքորոշման հետ, պարզապես իրենք ինքնուրույն որոշումներ չեն կարող կայացնել: «Մենք չենք կայացնում ինքնուրույն որոշումներ, դրանք պետք է ներկայացնենք մեր մյուս գործընկերներին ևս: Հայկական կողմի առաջարկը մեր կոլեգաների հետ պիտի քննարկենք իրավաբանական, միջազգային իրավունքի տեսակյունից, որի հետո կանենք միասնական հայտարարություն հ այկական կողմի հետ: Դա միայն տեխնիկական հարց է»,-հավաստիացրեց նա:
