 Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ապրիլի 18-ին ընդունել է Համաշխարհային փոստային միության գլխավոր տնօրեն Բիշար Աբդիրահման Հուսեյնին և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը, որի կազմում են «Փոստ Եվրոպա»-ի կառավարման խորհրդի նախագահ Ժան-Պոլ Ֆորսևիլը և գլխավոր քարտուղար Բոտոնդ Շեբենը: Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին, ովքեր Հայաստան են ժամանել՝ մասնակցելու Երևանում կայանալիք Եվրոպայի ազգային փոստային օպերատորների միության հերթական համաժողովին:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Սերժ Սարգսյանը համաշխարհային հաղորդակցության զարգացման գործում մեծապես կարևորել է համաշխարհային փոստային միության դերը, որը դեռևս 19-րդ դարում հիմք է դրել համաշխարհային փոստային համակարգի ձևավորմանը՝ խթանելով տարբեր ժողովուրդների ու ազգերի միջև կապերի ամրապնդումը, հաղորդակից դարձնելով տարբեր մշակույթներ ու արժեքներ կրող քաղաքակրթությունների: Նշ ելով, որ Հայաստանը համաշխարհային փոստային մեծ ընտանիքի անդամ է շուրջ 25 տարի, ՀՀ Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ դա մեծապես նպաստել է մեր երկրում փոստային ծառայության զարգացմանն ու արդիականացմանը: Համաժողովի անցկացումը Երևանում Հանրապետության Նախագահը լավ հնարավորություն է համարել մոտիկից ծանոթանալու այս ոլորտում Հայաստանի ձեռքբերումներին, փորձի փոխանակում իրականացնելու, գնահատելու Հայաստանի փոստային կապի ազգային օպերատոր «Հայփոստ»-ի գործունեությունը և անդրադառնալու զարգացման հետագա ծրագրերին:

Համաշխարհային փոստային միության գլխավոր տնօրենը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին՝ հյուրընկալության և Հայաստանում Եվրոպայի ազգային փոստային օպերատորների միության համաժողովի անցկացման հնարավորության համար: Նա ներկայացրել է համաժողովի նպատակն ու իր գլխավորած կազմակերպության առաքելությունը, ինչպես նաև «Հայփոստ»-ի հետ համագործակցությունը, վստահեցնելով, որ Համաշխարհային փոստային միությունը պատրաստակամ է շարունակելու օժանդակությունը Հայաստանի փոստային կապի ազգային օպերատորին՝ նպաստելու վերջինիս զարգացմանը՝ նկատի առնելով, որ արագ փոփոխվող աշխարհում նոր հնարավորություններ են ստեղծվում նաև փոստային ծառայությունների ոլորտում նորարարական մոտեցումների կիրառման համար:
