Վախճանվել է լիտվացի հայտնի հայագետ Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեն

Հայաստանի գրողների միությունից հայտնում են, որ վախճանվել է լիտվացի անվանի բանաստեղծուհի, թարգմանչուհի, հայագետ Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեն:
«Խոր ցավով ու կսկիծով իմացանք լիտվացի անվանի բանաստեղծուհի, թարգմանչուհի, հայագետ Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեի մահվան մասին։
Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեն, կարելի է ասել, Հայաստանի մշակութային դեսպանն էր Լիտվայում։ Ընդգրկուն էր նրա գործունեության ծիրը, որը վկայում է հայ և լիտվացի ժողովուրդների դարավոր բարեկամությունը, հոգենկարագրի ու մտախառնվածքի ընդհանրությունը։
Ապագայի լավագույն երազանքները Մարիտեին բերեցին Հայաստան։ 1971 թ. Լիտվայի գրողների միությունից նրան առաջարկել են ուսումնասիրել ԽՍՀՄ տարածքում ապրող ազգերի լեզուներից մեկը։ Մարիտեն առանց երկմտելու ընտրել է հայերենը ու եկել Հայաստան։ Այնուհետ նրա ընդվզումն ու պայքարը հայի համար էր, հայերենի և Հայաստանի։
Հայոց լեզվի, նաև գրաբարի հմուտ իմացությունը Մարիտեին ոգեշնչել է այնքան, որ նա լիտվերեն է թարգմանել Գրիգոր Նարեկացու, Նահապետ Քուչակի, Սայաթ-Նովայի, Ե. Չարենցի, Ս. Խանզադյանի, Հ. Մաթևոսյանի, Գ. Էմինի, Պ. Սևակի, Դ. Հովհաննեսի, Հ. Գրիգորյանի, Վ. Գրիգորյանի, Էդ. Միլիտոնյանի և այլոց ստեղծագործությունները։
Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեն 1992 թ. հիմնել է «Լիտվա-Հայաստան» ընկերությունը, որի շնորհիվ կազմակերպում և իրականացնում էր բարեգործական օգնություն Արցախին։ Ըստ էության նա դարձավ հայ ժողովրդի պաշտպանն ու ջատագովը։ Հայերի համար ամենաճակատագրական օրերին ևս նա մեր կողքին էր։
Որպես Լիտվայի խորհրդարանի անդամ Մ. Կոնտրիմայտեն մեծ դերակատություն է ունեցել Խորհրդարանի կողմից 1915 թ. Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հարցում։ Գրական-թարգմանչական գործունեության համար նա արժանացել է ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարության Ոսկե մեդալին։
Երախտապարտ Գյումրին և գյումրեցիները համամարդկային խնդիրներով ու հայի ճակատագրով ապրող Մարիտե Կոնտրիմայտեին 2015 թ. շնորհել են «Գյումրու պատվավոր քաղաքացի» կոչում և «Գյումրու երախտավոր» տիտղոսը՝ 1988 թ. աղետալի երկրաշարժից հետո Գյումրի քաղաքի և նրա բնակիչների հանդեպ դրսևորած սրտացավ վերաբերմունքի, ցուցաբերած բարոյական և նյութական մեծ օգնության ու աջակցության համար։
