Հայոց ցեղասպանության 101-ամյա տարելիցին ընդառաջ, ապրիլի 20-ից մեծ էկրաններին կլինի «Կանչ» ֆիլմը: Ֆիլմի սցենարի հեղինակ Սամվել Թադևոսյան, ով նաև մի շարք ֆիլմերի, այդ թվում՝ արցախյան պատերազմի մասին պատմող փաստագրական ֆիլմաշարի հեղինակ է, Life.panorama.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատմելով «Կանչ»-ի մասին, ասաց, թե ֆիլմի նպատակն է ցույց տալ, որ հայ պատանին, հայտնվելով թուրքական միջավայրում, չի կորցնում իր ինքնությունը, կրոնն ու լեզուն: Փոքրիկ հերոսի միջոցով ցուցադրվում է ողջ հայ ազգի տեսակն ու էությունը:
«Ֆիլմում ներկայացվել են Ադանայի կոտորածների հետևանքը, երբ բոլոր հայերը կոտորվեցին, միայն մեկ հայ տղա ողջ մնաց: Այդ ժամանակներում թուրքերը ենիչերական դպրոցներ ունեին, ուր տղա երեխաներին մանկուց պատրաստում էին հայ և այլ թշնամի ազգերին կոտորելուն: Մեր հերոսը՝ Վարդանը, 9 տարեկան է լինում, երբ այդ կոտորածները սկսվում են, հենց կոտորածների ժամանակ էլ իր քաջ ու խիզախ տեսակը մի թուրք սպա նկատում է ու թույլ չի տալիս, որպեսզի նրան սպանեն՝ նպատակով, որ Վարդանին էլ կդարձնի հակահայ մարտիկ: Այդպիսով՝ Վարդանին տանում են այդ ենիչերական դպրոցներից մեկն, ուր նա անհամար փորձությունների է ենթարկվում: Այստեղ Վարդանը համր է ձևանում, որպեսզի չմատնի իր ազգությունը:
