 Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած միջոցառումներն ամփոփվել են ֆիլմում: Ապրիլի 21-ին «Մոսկվա» կինոթատրոնում տեղի կունենա Ցեղասպանության տարելիցին նվիրված «Արմատներ» ֆիլմի պրեմիերան:

Կինոնկարի ցուցադրությունից առաջ հրավիրված մամուլի ասուլիսում ֆիլմիգլխավոր պրոդյուսեր, «Շարմ հոլդինգի» գլխավոր տնօրեն ԿարենՂազարյանը շեշտեց, որ այն երկրի ներքին խնդիրները լուծելու նպատակ ունի:

«Շարմ» ընկերությունն ակտիվ մասնակցություն է ունեցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարելիցին նվիրված միջոցառումների կազմակերպմանը, հսկա ներուժ էր ստեղծվել միջոցառումների շուրջ: Մտածեցինք` ափսոս կլինի, որ այդ ամենը կորի: Որոշեցինք  ֆիլմ նկարահանել, որը գեղարվեստական տարրեր կներառի, և այդ ֆիլմի միջոցով փոխանցել այն, ինչ տեղի էր ունենում այդ օրերին»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ`նշեց Կարեն Ղազարյանը:

«Արմատներ» ֆիլմի գլխավոր պրոդյուսերի խոսքով` ինքը երջանիկ կլինի, եթե յուրաքանչյուր հայ դիտի այն:

«Մենք չենք պատմում իրադարձությունների մասին, որոնք տեղի են ունեցել 100 տարի առաջ: Մենք պատմում ենք այն իրադարձությունների մասին, որոնք տեղի են ունեցել նախորդ տարի»,- շեշտեց նա` հավելելով, որ կինոնկարի վրա աշխատում են նախորդ տարվա փետրվարից:  «Ցուցադրություններ կլինեն և՛ ԱՄՆ-ում, և՛ Ռուսաստանում: Այս ֆիլմը կոմերցիոն նպատակներ չի հետապնդում: ԱՄՆ-ում ցանկանում ենք դպրոցներում ցուցադրություններ կազմակերպել»,-ընդգծեց Կարեն Ղազարյանը:

Ֆիլմի բեմադրող ռեժիսոր Վահե Յանն ընդգծեց, որ կինոնկարը վավերագրական, գեղարվեստական ժանրերի սինթեզ է:

«Ֆիլմն ունի նաև թեթև տարրեր, մենք շատ թեթև ենք մատուցել խնդիրը` առանց լաց լինելու: Ֆիլմն արմատների, արյան կանչի մասին է: Ֆիլմում շատ կարևոր պահ կա, երբ հերոսը հասկանում է, որ ինքը սփյուռքահայ չէ. չկա նման հասկացություն, մենք բոլորս հայ ենք և մի միասնական ոգի ունենք»,-նշեց նա:

Ֆիլմի հերոս բոստոնաբնակ լրագրող, բլոգեր Արամը Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի շեմին որոշում է գալ Հայաստան և իր բլոգում լուսաբանել տեղի ունենալիք իրադարձությունները: Հայաստանում նա շատ պատահական հանդիպում է ֆրանսիաբնակ Անետին, ով Արամի բլոգի մշտական ընթերցողներից է՝ Վանե մականունով: Ծնվում է սիրո պատմություն, որն ավելի է նրանց կապում հայրենի հողի հետ: Արամի և Անետի սերը դառնում է արյան կանչի խորհրդանիշ: Նրանք ցեղասպանությունից հետո ծնված չորրորդ սերունդն են, որ, ապրելով Հայաստանի սահմաններից դուրս, չեն մոռացել իրենց անցյալի և արմատնե րի մասին: Գեղեցիկ սիրո պատմությանը զուգահեռ «Արմատներ» ֆիլմն անդրադառնում է 2015-ին Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած միջոցառումներին, որոնք իրենց շուրջը հավաքեցին աշխարհասփյուռ հայությանը: Ֆիլմը նկարահանվել է Scripted Reality ժանրում. այն իր ոճով և մատուցմամբ նոր խոսք է հայկական ֆիլմարտադրության մեջ:

Դերերում հանդես են գալիս Անդրանիկ Բաբայանը, Մերի Մկրտչյանը, Ռոզի Ավետիսովան, Գրիգոր Բաղդասարյանը, Իշխան Ղարիբյանը և այլք: Սցենարի հեղինակը Կարինե Խոդիկյանն է:
