Երեխաների համար երկու լավագույն ըմպելիքը ջուրն է եւ կաթը` առանց շաքարի եւ առանց հավելումների: Հենց այդ ըմպելիքներն են հրաշալիորեն հագեցնում ծարավը, իսկ  կաթն օրգանիզմին կալցիում եւ շատ այլ օգտակար նյութեր է տալիս: Ի՞նչ անել, եթե երեխան չի ուզում կաթ խմել, իսկ սովորական ջուրը նրան դուր չի գալիս: 

Քլիվլենդի կլինիկայի մասնագետները մի քանի խորհուրդ են տալիս այն մասին, թե ինչպես կարելի է ավելի «հետաքրքիր» եւ միաժամանակ ոչ վնասակար զովացուցիչ ըմպելիքներ պատրաստել երեխաների համար: 

• Մի բաժակ ջրին մի քիչ համ ավելացրեք. դա կարող է լինել հատապտուղներ, վարունգ կամ սեխ: Հրաշալի գաղափար է ջրին դաղձի տերեւներ կամ, օրինակ, կիտրոն ավելացնելը: Ստացված ըմպելիքը հրաշալիորեն կհագեցնի ծարավը, հաճելի համ կունենա եւ գործնականում չի ունենա կալորիաներ: Կարելի է ջրին նաեւ կտրատված խնձոր եւ դարչինի ձողիկ ավելացնել: Փորձեք երեխային ներգրավել այդ գործընթացի մեջ. միասին մտածեք, թե ինչ մրգեր կամ հատապտուղներ ավելացնեք ջրին` այն երեխայի  համար ավելի համեղ եւ   «հետաքրքիր» դարձնելու համար:  

• Եթե երեխան շատ է ուզում քաղցր ուտել, շաքարի փոխարեն ջրին ագավայի նեկտար ավելացրեք: Ընդհանրապես այդ նեկտարը այնքան կալորիաներ է պարունակում, որքան շաքարը, բայց շաքարից անհամեմատ ավելի քաղցր է, այդ պատճառով դրանից շատ չեք ուտի: 

• Ծայրահեղ դեպքում տնական լիմոնադում արհեստական քաղցրացուցիչներ օգտագործեք: Սակայն հիշեք, որ շատ մասնագետներ այս քաղցրացուցիչները շաքարից  անհամեմատ ավելի վնասակար են համարում: Ամեն դեպքում չի խանգարի բժշկի հետ խորհրդակցել, թե արժե, որ Ձեր երեխան նման քաղցրացուցիչներով ըմպելիքներ խմի:
