Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման ու դատապարտման ներկայիս իրավիճակը խոսում է Արևմուտքի երկակի ստանդարտների ու դավաճանության մասին: Սա դանիացի պատգամավոր Լարս Ասլան Ռասմուսենի տեսակետն է, որը նա արտահայտեց «Ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության հանցագործության» գլոբալ ֆորումի ժամանակ: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` Ռասմուսենը, ում մայրը դանիացի է, հայրը` քուրդ, առիթ է ունեցել լինել Արևմտյն Հայաստանում, տեսնել խոնարհված եկեղեցիներ, մարդկանց, ովքեր գիտեին հայկական գյուղերի պատմության մասին, բայց վախենում էին խոսել դրա մասին:«Թուրքական իշխանությունն էլ պաշտոնական կեղծիք էր ներկայացնում` ասելով, թե եղել է պատերազմ, որի ժամանակ հայերն են սպանել իրենց: Հետո աում էին` քրդերն են հայերին սպանել, քրդերն էլ ասում էին մեզ ու հայերին սպանել են թուրքերը: Այս կեղծիքներից հետո Թուրքիայի համար դժվար է հարյուր տարի հետո ընդունել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը»,-ասաց պատգամավորը` հավելելով, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչելու քաջութ յունն ունեցել են միայն մի քանի երկրներ:

Ռասմուսենի համար դժվար է պատկերացնել իրավիճակ, երբ Գերմանիան փորձեր ժխտել Հոլոքոստն ու ասեր՝ հրեաներն են սպանել գերմանացիներին: «Սա ամեն ինչ ասում է Թուրքիայի մասին ու Արևմուտքի կողմից երկակի ստանդարտների կիրառման մասին: Ինչ վերաբերում Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը, ապա սրա հետ է կապվում դավաճանությունը, քանի որ քաղաքակիրթ աշխարհում գիտեին` ինչ է տեղի ունենում, գիտեին, որ հայեր են բնաջնջվում Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում, դա հայտնի էր Ամերիկային, Եվրոպային, բայց ոչ ոք ոչինչ չէր անում այն կանգնեցնելու համար»,-հավելեց եվրոպացի պատգամավրը:

Նրա գնահատմամբ` պատմությունը կրկնվում է, ու մարդկության աչքի առջև հայեր  են սպանվում Սիրիայում, բազմաթիվ փոքրամասնություններ, այդ թվում` եզդիներ ստիպված են փախչել Սիրիայից, Իրաքից: «Իմ քաղաքական գործընկերները, որոնք դիմադրում են Հայոց ցեղասպանության ընդունմանը, ասում են, որ պատմաբանները պետք է պարզել` եղել է ցեղասպանություն, թե ոչ: Բայց պատմաբաններն արդեն սա որակել են որպես ցեղասպանություն: Արևմուտքը պետք է ընդունի սա  ու հարգի անմեղ զոհերին ու նրանց հարազատներին: Դադարեք խաբել մարդկանց ու հրահրել նոր ցեղասպանություններ Սիրա յում ու Իրաքում»,-եզրափակեց Լարս Ասլան Ռասմուսենը:
