Մոնրեալում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 101-ամյակին նվիրված երթին կմասնակցի նաև քաղաքապետ Դենիս Կոդերը

Կանադայի Մոնրեալում տարբեր համայնքներ կմիավորվեն հիշատակելու համար Հայոց ցեղասպանության 101-րդ տարելիցը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Մոնրեալի քաղաքային խորհրդի նիստում ունեցած ելույթ ժամանակ խորհրդի անդամ Հարութ Չիթիլյանը նշել է, որ ի հիշատակ Հայոց ցեղասպանության քաղաքում երթ կկազմակերպվի, որին կմասնակցի նաև քաղաքապետ Դենիս Կոդերը:
«Մենք կքայլենք հանուն արդարության, կքայլեն հանուն խաղաղության և հատկապես կքայլենք ցույց տալու համար, որ ցեղասպանությունը երբեք նորից չկրկնվի»,- նշել է Չիթիլյանը:
Իր ելույթում Մոնրեալի քաղաքային խորհրդի անդամը նաև հիշատակել է Մուսա լեռան մարտերը, որտեղ շուրջ 40 օր պայքար համարձակ հայկական խումբը հետ է մղել մեծաթիվ թուրքական բանակի հարձակումները: Չիթիլյանը հիշեցրել է, որ այս իրադարձությունները նկարագրված են հրեական ծագմամբ ավստրիացի գրող Ֆրանց Վերֆելի կողմից:
«Այս տարին առանձնահատուկ հատկանշական է այն առումով, որ Ցեղասպանության զոհերի առաջին և երկրորդ սերունդները, որոնց մի մասը ապաստան էր գտել Սիրիայում և Իրաքում, կրկին ստիպված են եղել թողնել իրենց տները և տեղափոխվել հիմականում Եվրոպա և Ամերիկա: Նրանց մենք ընդունել ենք նաև այստեղ և նրանք մեծ աջակցություն են ստացել Մոնրեալի հայ համայնքի կողմից»,- շեշտել է Հարութ Չիթիլյանը:
