Ամերիկահայ խմբագիրը առաջնահերթ է համարում հայկական տարածքները վերադարձնելու պահանջը

Հայերը հարյուր տարի զբաղվել են Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման հարցով: Պահանջը չի կարող շարունակ մնալ նույնը: Հաջորդ անելիքը Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարան դիմելն է՝ հայկական պատմական տարածքները վերադարձնելու պահանջով: Լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նման կարծիք է հայտնել «Կալիֆոռնիա Կուրիեր» թերթիխմբագիր Հարութ Սասունյանը: «Սա լրջագու յն հարց է, որ միայն ցույցերովչի լուծվի»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ասաց նա:
Սասունյանը նաև նշեց, որ «Ավրորա» մրցանակաբաշխությունը լավ հնարավորություն էր Հայկական հարցը ներկայացնելու միջազգային հանրությանը, այն էլ հռչակավոր անձանց մասնակցությամբ: Շատ բարձր գնահատեց նաև օտարերկրացիների պատմությունները լսելու նախաձեռնությունը, քանի որ այդ կերպ մարդիկ նաև այցելում են Հայաստան ու ծանոթանում երկրին:
Այնուամենայնիվ, Սասունյանը կարծում է, որ Օբամայի բերանից «Ցեղասպանություն» բառի արտաբերմանը սպասել է վերածվել է մոլուցքի: Շատերին թվում է, որ եթե ԱՄՆ նախագահը չի ասում այդ բառը, ուրեմն Միացյալ Նահանգները չեն ընդունում Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: «Ամերիկյան կառավարությունը բազմիցս ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Առաջին անգամ 1951 թ. ամերիկյան կառավարությունը պաշտոնական փաստաթուղթ է հղել Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարան, որում ասվում է, որ 20-րդ դարում կատարվել է երկու ցեղասպանություն՝ հրեական Հոլոքոստն ու Հայոց եղեռնը»,- ը նդգծեց խմբագիրը: Նրա խոսքով ՝ Եղեռնի ճանաչման գործընթացը ԱՄՆ-ում շարունակվել է նաև դրանից հետո:
Անդրադառնալով ապրիլի սկզբին Ադրբեջանի իրականացրած վայրագություններին՝ նա համոզմունք հայտնեց, որ դրանք ռազմական հանցագործություններ են, որոնք միջազգային ատյանները պետք է լուրջ քննարկման առարկա դարձնեն: Այդ իրադարձությունները Լոս Անջելեսում, Նյու Յորքում և այլ հայաշատ համայնքներում դարձել են բողոքի մեծ ալիքի հիմք: Այդ առումով, Հարութ Սասունյանը հարկ համարեց նշել, որ կա նոր ցեղասպանության վտանգ: «Թշնամուն պետք է կանգնեցնել ոչ միայն կ ոչերով, այլև գործողություններով: Պետք է լինենք ուժեղ, որպեսզի հակառակորդը վախենա կրկին ձեռք բարձրացնել մեզ վրա»,- ասաց նա: Նրա համոզմամբ՝ եթե դեռ ժամանակը չէ, ապա գոնե մոտ է Արցախի անկախությունը ճանաչելու պահը: «Ավելին, Արցախը հարկավոր է ճանաչել իբրև Հայաստանի մարզ»,- եզրափակեց նա:
