 Հայաստանը պետք է դառնա ցեղասպանությունների դեմ պայքարի կենտրոն: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսին նշեց ՀՅԴ հայ դատի և քաղաքական հարցերի գրասենյակի պատասխանատու Կիրո Մանոյանը: «Հայաստանում անցկացվեց երկու կարևոր միջոցառում, «Ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության հանցագործության» գլոբալ ֆորումը և «Ավրորա» մրցանակաբաշխությունը, որն իսկապես ողջունելի է: Հնչած ելույթները, դիտարկումները, շեշտադրումները վկայում են այն մասին, որ Հայաստանն իրոք կարող է դառնալ ցեղասպանությունների դեմ պայքարի կենտրոն»,-ասաց Կիրո Մանոյանը: Այս տարիներին որքանո՞վ հայ ժողովրդին հաջողվեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցը դուրս բերել միջազգային մակարդակ: Հարցին ի պատասխան Կարո Մանոյանը նշեց, որ եթե ամբողջությամբ չի հաջողվել, ապա կարող ենք ասել , որ առնվազն այդ ճանապարհին ենք:

«Պետք է ցույց տալ, որ Հայաստանը շահագրգռված չէ միայն իր հարցերով, այլ ընդհանրապես, հետաքրքրված է  ցեղասպանոթյունների դեմ պայքարով: Վերջին տարիներին մեր դիվանագիտական հատվածը ճիշտ պատգամ է փոխանցում միջազգային հանրությանը»,-ասաց Կիրո Մանոյանը: 

Հունիսին Գերմանիայի խորհրդարանում սպասվում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցի քննարկումը, որը Կիրո Մանոյանը կարևոր է համարում: Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ Գերմանիան կհամալրի այն երկրների շարքը, որոնք ճանաչել են Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:  

Անդրադառնալով ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի ապրիլքսանչորսյան ելույթին, Կիրո Մանոյանն ասաց, թե այն, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Օբաման ապրիլի 24-ի ելույթի առիթը ճիշտ չօգտագործեց, ափսոս է և վարկաբեկիչ է հենց իր համար:

«Դու վկայակոչում ես ուրիշներին, Հռոմի Պապին, մեջբերում ես Օբամա քաղաքացու ասվածը, բայց չես ասում ցեղասպանություն բառն, անհասկանանելի է: Կարծում եմ, որ Օբաման դեռ ժամանակ ունի և կարող է իր նախընտրական խոստումը կատարել»,- ասաց Կիրո Մանոյանը: Նրա խոսքով` հիմնականն այն է, որ անցած մեկ տարվա ընթացքում հայ ժողովրդին հաջողվել է ուշադրությունը կենտրոնացնել ոչ միան ճանաչման հարցի վրա, այլև հատուցման: «Դա իսկապես բուն հարցն է, և արդեն այդ ուղղությամբ որոշ աշխատանքներ տարվել են, չէի ասի բավարար են, հետևաբար անհրաժեշտ է նոր թափ տալ այդ աշխատանքներին»,-հավելեց Կիրո Մանոյանը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Թուրքիայի նախագահի ելույթին, Կիրո Մանոյանն ասաց, թե նրանք անտեսում են այն բռնությունները, որ իրենց պետությունը գործադրել է Հայաստանի նկատմամբ, նրանց ժխտողական քաղաքականությունը շարունակվում է: Խոսում է, ցավակցում է հայ մահացածներին, կարծես բնական մահով են մահացել: Անտեսվում է պետության կողմից այդ ոճրագործությունը ծրագրած լինելու փաստը:

Դիտարկմանը, թե որոշ պետություններ Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցը շահարկում են հօգուտ իրենց, Կիրո Մանոյանն ասաց. «Բոլորն էլ իրենց շահերը պետք է հետապնդեն, դրա համար չպետք է հիասթափվենք, դա նորմալ է, մենք էլ պետք է մեր շահերը հետապնդենք»:
