Անհրաժեշտ է շփման գծում ներդնել ԵԱՀԿ-ի առաջարկած մոնիթորինգի մեխանիզմները: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսին նշեց Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր, ԼՂՀ-ի հետ բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար Ֆրանկ Էնգելը:

«Անհրաժեշտ է քայլեր ձեռնարկել և ներդնել այդ մեխանիզմները: Հայտնի է, որ  Հայաստանն ու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը կողմ են այդ մեխանիզմներին, իսկ Ադրբեջանը դեմ է: Հետևաբար Եվրոպական ինստիտուտները պետք է ամեն ինչ անեն, որ Ադբեջանը տա իր համաձայնությունը մոնիթորինգի մեխանիզմների ներդրման հարցում: Եվ եթե Ադրբեջանը շարունակի դեմ լինել, ապա դա կնշանակի, որ Ադրբեջանի հետ մեր համագործակցությոնը որևէ այլ ձևաչափով չի կարող շարունակվել, լինի Արևելյան գործընկերության կամ ծրագրի ու նախաձեռնության շրջանակում: Դա նշանակում է Ադրբեջանն ագրեսիվ գործողություներ է իրականցում ու մերժում շփման գծում մշտադիտարկման գաղափարը»,-ասաց Ֆրանկ Էնգելը:

Չնայած եղած ապացույցներին, որ Ադրբեջանն է ագրսեորը և ինքն է նախահարձակ եղել, ամեն դեպքում տարբեր երկրների հայտարարություններում հավասարության նշան դրվեց և Ադրբեջանը չընդգծվեց: Ի՞նչ պետք է անի հայկական կողմը առավել հասցեական հայտարարությունների, մեղավորներին ընդգծելու համար: Հարցին ի պատասխան եվրոպացի պատգամավորը նշեց, որ Հայաստանն անում է ամեն հնարավորը:

«Չեմ  կարծում, որ Հայաստանը կարող է ավելին անել, քան անում է այսօր: Փաստն այն է, որ Հայաստանը ագրեսիա չի ցուցաբերում, չի հարձակվում, այլ պաշտպանական գործողություններ է իրականացնում: Պետք է ուշադիր լինել որոշ փաստերի նկատմամբ: Քիչ առաջ նշած մոնիթորինգի մեխանիզմների վերաբերյալ ԵԱՀԿ-ի առաջարկը: Հայաստանը համաձայն է, Ադրբեջանը` ոչ: Ակնհայտ է չէ՞, թե որ կողմն է վախենում այդ մեխանիզմներից»,-ասաց եվրոպացի պատգամավորը:
