 Ադրբեջանը պատերազմ է հայտարարել անկախ լրագրությանը:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, նման վերնագրով հոդված է հրապարակել ամերիկյան հեղինակավոր The Washington Post թերթը, որում միջազգային իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունների կողմից ազատ մամուլի «թշնամի» հայտարարված Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիեւին ժողովրդավարություն սովորելու համար խորհուրդ է տալիս դիտել Meydan TV հեռուստաալիքի հաղորդումները:

Թերթը մեջբերել է Meydan TV-ի հիմնադիր Էմին Միլլիի` EuroasiaNet.org կայքին տված հարցազրույցից հետեւյալ հատվածը, որում նա հայտնում է, որ չնայած առաջադեմ երկրների պաշտոնական շրջանակների` երկրում ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումներ իրականացնելու մասին Ալիեւին արվող հորդորներին, Ադրբեջանում ոչինչ էլ չի փոխվել:

«Վաշինգտոնում Պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի, փոխնախագահ Ջո Բայդենի հետ լուսանկարվելուց հետո Ադրբեջան վերադառնալուց հետո Ալիեւն անհիմ մեղադրանքներով քրեական գործ բացեց Meydan TV-ի դեմ, որում մեղադրանքներ է առաջադրում անգամ հեռուստաալիքի հետ համագործակցող 15 լրագրողների նկատմամբ` արգելելով նրանց ելքը երկրից: Մենք դա համարում ենք Ադրբեջանում անկախ լրագրության դեմ պատերազմի հայտարարում», -ասել է Միլլին:

The Washington Post-ը գրում է, որ Ալիեւը խիստ զայրանում է ցանկացած քննադատությունից: Նա բանտ է նետել երկրի ոսկու հանքերում իր դուստրերի ապօրինի մասնաբաժինը հայտնաբերած լրագրող Խադիջա Իսմայիլովային: Հետո հայտնի դարձավ, որ այդ մասնաբաժինն ավելի մեծ չափի է հասնում Panama Papers ընկերությունում: Տասը լրագրող, բլոգեր եւ ակտիվիստներ կալանավորված են: Իսկ Meydan TV-ին չի հրաժարվում ռեժիմին տխրեցնող հրապարակումներից: Հեռուստաալիքը հայտնել է նաեւ ապրիլի սկզբին առաջնագծում Ադրբեջանի կորուստների հետ կապված պաշտոնական թվերը մի քանի անգամ գերազանցող տվյալներ, որոնք փաստում են կորուստի խիստ մեծ լինելը:

«Meydan TV-ի փորձը ցույց տվեց, որ փաստեր հրապարակելով, հնարավոր է հանրությանն ազատ տեղեկատվություն հասցնել եւ խույս տալ բռնապետերից: Ալիեւին թվում է, թե կարող է իր գաղտնի ոստիկաններով եւ դատախազներով պատերազմել ազատ խոսքի դեմ: Ալիեւն այդ ճանապարհները սովորել է իր հորից, նախկին ԿԳԲ-ական, խորհրդային քաղբյուրոյի աշխատակից Հեյդար Ալիեւից: ԿԳԲ-ի մեթոդները կարող են ծանր լինել զոհերի համար, սակայն, այդ մեթոդները չեն կարող թաղել ճշմարտությունը, դադարեցնել քննադատությունը: Դա խիզախությամբ երեւան հանեցին Խադիջա Իսմայիլովան եւ Meydan TV-ին: Ալիեւը պետք է ազատ արձակի բոլոր քաղբանտարկյալներին, դադարեցնի Meydan TV-ի դեմ քրեական գործը եւ ինքն էլ նստի ու դիտի այդ հեռուստաալիքը: Գուցե այդպես նա ինչ-որ բան ընկալի արդի ժամանակաշրջանում համամարդկային արժեքների հարցում», -գրել է ամերիկյան թերթը:
