Միլիարդատեր Դոնալդ Թրամփը, որը Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից հավակնում Է առաջադրվել ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու, հանրային աջակցության ցուցանիշով դեմոկրատների շրջանում մրցարշավի ֆավորիտից՝ ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար Հիլարի Քլինթոնից, տարբերությունը հասցրել նվազագույնի: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, վկայում Է սոցիոլոգիական հարցման՝ ապրիլի 25-ին հրապարակված արդյունքները, հարցում, որն անցկացվել Է Ջորջ Վաշինգտոնի անվան համալսարանի մասնագետների կողմից:

Նրանք նշում են, որ եթե Քլինթոնն ու Թրամփը հանդիպեին նախագահական ընտրություններում, ապա առաջինին կաջակցեր ընտրողների 46 տոկոսը, երկրորդին՝ 43 տոկոսը, հարցվածների 11 տոկոսը չի կարողացել հստակ դիրքորոշում հայտնել: Այդ կապակցությամբ «Հիլլ» թերթն ընդգծում Է, որ Քլինթոնի եւ Թրամփի միջեւ տարբերությունը, որը կազմում Է 3 տոկոս, երբեք այդքան փոքր չի եղել:

Սոցհարցման արդյունքների համաձայն՝ Վերմոնտի նահանգից Բեռնի Սանդերսի, որը Քլինթոնի մրցակիցն Է դեմոկրատների նախընտրական մրցարշավում, նախագահական ընտրություններում Թրամփին հաղթելու շանսերը փոքր-ինչ ավելի մեծ են: Նրա օգտին կքվեարկեր ընտրողների 51 տոկոսը, միլիարդատիրոջ օգտին՝ 40 տոկոսը, 9 տոկոսը չի կարողացել որոշակի պատասխան տալ:

Հարցումն ապրիլին անցկացվել Է ձայնի իրավունք ունեցող հազար ամերիկացիների շրջանում, որոնք պատրաստվում են մասնակցել ընտրություններին:

Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության ազգային համագումարը, ինչպես սպասվում Է, կկայանա հուլիսի 25-28-ին Ֆիլադելֆիայում (Փենսիլվանիայի նահանգ): Հանրապետականները համանման քաղաքական համաժողովը կանցկացնեն հուլիսի 18-21-ին Քլիվլենդում (Օհայոյի նահանգ): Այդ միջոցառումների արդյունքում պետք Է որոշվեն երկու կուսակցություններից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի վերջնական թեկնածուներն ընտրություններում, որոնք անցկացվելու են ընթացիկ տարվա նոյեմբերին, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
