Ընթացիկ տարվա մայիսին թուրք-սիրիական սահմանում կտեղակայվեն ամերիկյան համազարկային կրակի ռեակտիվ համակարգեր:
Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը` վկայակոչելով Haber Turk հեռուստաալիքը, հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարՄեւլյութ Չավուշօղլուն:
«Մեր գլխավոր նպատակը Սիրիայի հյուսիսում Մենբիչի 98 կմ-ոց տարածաշրջանն ահաբեկիչներից մաքրելն է: ԱՄՆ-ի հետ համաձայնության ենք եկել 90 կմ հեռահարությամբ HIMARS ամերիկյան համակարգեր մայիսին Թուրքիայի սահմանին տեղակայելու հարցում», -ասել է նա:
Նրա խոսքով` այդպիսով իրենց կհաջողվի ամբողջությամբ կրակի տակ պահել այդ գոտին, եւ սիրիական չափավոր ընդդիմությանը հնարավորություն տալ գրավել այդ տարածաշրջանը: Չավուշօղլուն ասել է, որ եւ՛ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման, եւ՛ Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը կիսում են Սիրիայի այդ հատվածում անվտանգության գոտի ստեղծելու վերաբերյալ Թուրքիայի կարծիքը:
Թուրքիան ԱՄՆ-ին բազմիցս կոչ էր անում Մենբիչում Թուրքիայի սահմանից 98 կմ երկարությամբ գոտի ստեղծել Աֆրին եւ Ջերաբլուս քաղաքների միջեւ, ինչը թույլ կտա այդտեղից հեռացնել ահաբեկիչներին եւ այնտեղ տեղակայել սիրիացի փախստականներին: Սակայն, իրականում, Թուրքիայի նպատակը հիշյալ գոտում «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման ահաբեկիչների դեմ ցամաքային պայքար տանող սիրիացի քրդերի ազատագրական ուժերի վերացումն է: Անկարան երկյուղում է, որ սիրիացի քրդերի՝ ահաբեկիչներին հասցրած հաջող հակահարվածները ի վերջո հնարավորություն կընձեռեն նրանց ինքնաÕ �արություն հաստատել այդ շրջանում:
