Վրաստանի Քոբուլեթ (Աջարիա) առողջարանային քաղաքում հինգ մարդ Է ձերբակալվել ռադիոակտիվ ուրան վաճառելու փորձ անելիս: Այդ մասին ապրիլի 28-ին լրագրողներին հայտնել են Վրաստանի Պետական անվտանգության ծառայությունում (ՊԱԾ):
ՊԱԾ-ի տվյալներով՝ բոլոր ձերբակալվածները Վրաստանի քաղաքացիներ են:
«Ձերբակալությունը կատարվել Է այն պահին, երբ կալանավորվածները ռադիոակտիվ նյութն իրացման նպատակով բերել Էին Քոբուլեթիի բնականներից մեկը»,-պատմել են գերատեսչությունում, նշելով, որ ձերբակալվածները մտադրվել Էին ուրանը վաճառել 3 մլն դոլարով:
ՊԱԾ-ի հաղորդագրության համաձայն՝ փորձաքննության ընթացքում պարզվել Է, որ ձերբակալվածներից առգրավված ռադիոակտիվ նյութը՝ 1,625 կիլոգրամ քաշով ուրանը, պարունակում Է երկու ռադիոակտիվ իզոտոպ՝ ուրան-238 եւ ոչ մեծ քանակությամբ (0,23 տոկոս)՝ ուրան-235, որոնք պատկանում են միջուկային նյութերի կատեգորիային:
Նշված փաստով անցկացվում Է հետաքննություն, ձերբակալվածներին սպառնում Է 5-ից մինչեւ 10 տարվա բանտարկություն:
Ապրիլին ավելի վաղ Թբիլիսիում վեց մարդ Էր ձերբակալվել ուրան-238 ռադիոակտիվ նյութն իրացնելու փորձ կատարելիս, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
