«Հելսինկյան ասոցիացիա» իրավապաշտպան ՀԿ-ն դիմել է արդարադատության նախարար Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանին, գլխավոր դատախազ Գեւորգ Կոստանյանին, Քրեակատարողական վարչության պետ Արթուր Օսիկյանին եւ օմբուդսմեն Արման Թաթոյանին՝ «Նուբարաշեն» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկում գտնվող կալանավորի առողջական վիճակի բարդացման վերաբերյալ:
 
Մասնավորապես, Նուբարաշեն ՔԿՀ-ում գտնվող կալանավոր Հրաչյա Գեւորգյանի մայրը՝ Նախշուն Ենգիբարյանը, հայտնել է, որ իր որդին ՔԿՀ-ում հայտնվելու պահից ձեռք է բերել կյանքին վտանգ սպառնացող բազմաթիվ հիվանդություններ, ինչպիսիք են սուր խրոնիկ բրոնխիտը, հեպատիտ C-ն ու Պարկինսոնի հիվանդությունը: Մոր խոսքով՝ որդին ՔԿՀ-ում չի ստացել բավարար բուժում, ինչի արդյունքում նրա վիճակը ներկայում ծայրահեղ ծանր է: «Նա չի կարողանում ինքնուրույն տեղաշարժվել, խոսել, առանց կողմնակի օգնության օգտվել պետքարանից»,- նշել է կալանավորի մայրը:
 
Կազմակերպության փոխանցմամբ՝ Հրաչյա Գեւորգյանը, ի նշան բողոքի, հացադուլ էր հայտարարել: Հացադուլի մասին տեղեկացրել էին Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գրասենյակին եւ ԱՆ քրեակատարողական հիմնարկներում ու մարմիններում հասարակական վերահսկողություն իրականացնող հասրարակական դիտորդական խմբին: «Խմբերի այցելության պահին նրա մոտից այլ խուց են տեղափոխել իրեն աջակցող մեկ այլ կալանավորի, ինչի արդյունքում Գեւորգյանը մնացել է անօգնական վիճակում»,- հայտնեցին մեզ: Հիշեցնենք, որ Հրաչյա Գեւորգյանը կալանավորվել է 2011թ.:
 
Առաջին ատյանի դատարանում դատավարությունը տեւել է շուրջ չորս տարի երեք ամիս, իսկ Վերաքննիչ դատարանում՝ 2016թ. փետրվարի 1-ից առ այսօր նիստերը հետաձգվում են Գեւորգյանի առողջական վիճակի պատճառով: Հելսինկյան ասոցիացիան վերջինիս նկատմամբ վերաբերմունքը գնահատում է որպես խոշտանգում, արժանապատվության նվաստացում եւ անմարդկային վերաբերմունք: Վերոնշյալ անձանց դիմելով՝ նրանք հույս ունեն, որ վերջիններս իրենց իրավասության շրջանակներում միջոցներ կձեռնարկեն թվարկված բացասական վերաբերմունքը դադարեցնելու համար:
