«Առավոտ». «Եկեղեցաշինությամբ» մեծահարուստների փառասիրությանը հագուրդ տալու փոխարեն

Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«20-րդ դարի սկզբին ԱՄՆ-ում լույս տեսավ մի գիրք, որը կոչվում էր՝ «Նրա հետքերով. Ինչպե՞ս կվարվեր Հիսուսը»: Գրքի հեղինակն էր բողոքական քահանա Չարլզ Շելդոնը: Որպես գեղարվեստական ստեղծագործություն՝ գիրքը բավականին թույլ է: Դա, ըստ էության, ոչ թե վեպ է, այլ քարոզների հավաքածու: Բայց որպես քարոզ՝ այն բավականին հետաքրքիր է: Գաղափարն այն է, որ եկեղեցական համայնքի անդամները որոշում են հետևել Տիրոջը՝ այդ բառի ուղիղ իմաստով. կյանքում որևէ բայլ կատարելուց առաջ հարցնել՝ իսկ ինչպե՞ս իմ տեղը կվարվեր Հիսուսը: Սեփական վարքի համար նման բարձր չափանիշ դնելով՝ մարդիկ իրենց քաղաքում կյանքը դարձնում են ավելի մաքուր և ազնիվ և, ամերիկյան իրականության խաղի կանոններից առանձնապես չշեղվելով, հասնում են սոցիալական լուրջ արդյունքների:
Ինչպես և ցանկացած քարոզ, այդ «ծրագիրն», իհարկե, իր մեջ պարունակում է ուտոպիայի տարրեր: Բայց կա նաև ռացիոնալ հատիկ, ցանկացած լուրջ հարցում որոշում ընդունելուց առաջ չշտապել, թեկուզ 10 րոպե մտածել: Այդ 10 րոպեում կշռադատել, թե որքանով է քո ցանկությունների կատարումը «էկոլոգիապես մաքուր» լինելու՝ այդ բառի ամենալայն իմաստով:
