Մեզ թվում է, թե շատ բան գիտենք մեր մոլորակի մասին, սակայն հետազոտողներն ամեն տարի հարյուրավոր նոր կենդանատեսակներ են հայտնաբերում, որոնք շարունակում են զարմացնել մեզ իրենց յուրահատկությամբ։

 10  Թափանցիկ կերմիտ

«Ապակե» գորտերի այս նոր տեսակը, որը կոչվում է «Hyalinobatrachium dianae», հայտնաբերվել է Կոստա Ռիկայի Երկկենցաղների հետազոտական կենտրոնի գիտնականների կողմից։ Չնայած վերևից այն սովորական գորտի տեսք ունի, եթե դրան շրջես, ապա կտեսնես, որ այն ամբողջությամբ թափանցիկ է, ու դու կարող ես տեսնել դրա օրգաններն ու արյունատար անոթները։

 9  Թափանցիկ «ծովախեցգետին»

Ծովախեցգետնի նման այս «ուրվական» արարածը հայտնաբերվել է Իսպանիայում Սևիլիայի համալսարանի հետազոտական թիմի կողմից 2013թ․-ին։ Այս նոր տեսակը կոչվում է ամֆիպոդ և ապրում է Կատալինա կղզու ափամերձ շրջանի քարայրներում։

 8  Կարմիր վիշապ

Վառ կարմիր ծովավիշապը, որը հայտնաբերվել է միայն անցած ամիս, ապացույցն է այն բանի, որ յուրահատուկ ու ապշեցնող դեռ շատ նոր տեսակներ մեզ կարող են հանդիպել օվկիանոսների հատակին։

 7  Նոր ձուկ

«Chimaera carophila» կոչվող այս «ուրվական» ձուկը հայտնաբերվել է Նոր Զելանդիայի ջրերումնախորդ տարվա դեկտեմբերին։ Այն հայտնաբերել են Կալիֆորնիայի գիտությունների ակադեմիայի հետազոտողները։ 

 6  Կենդանի ճյուղ

Սա ճյուղ չէ, այլ փայտաձև միջատի հսկայական տեսակ, որը հայտնաբերվել է 2014թ․-ի վերջին Վիետնամում։ Այն 30 սմ-ից ավելի երկարություն ունի և երկրորդ ամենախոշոր միջատն է աշխարհում։

 5  Անվախ մրջյուն

Նախորդ տարի Մադագասկարում հայտնաբերված այս արարածը հարձակվող միջատներին նշմարելու դեպքում բռնում է թշնամուն ու գլորվում մրջնագաղութից ցած։ Երբ անկոչ հյուրը գաղութից հեռու է, մրջյունը նորից հետ է բարձրանում ու շարունակում իր գործը։

 4  Շողշողացող կակղամորթ

«Phyllodesmium undulatum» կոչվող կակղամորթի այս տեսակը հայտնաբերվել է 2014թ․-ին Կալիֆորնիայի գիտությունների ակադեմիայի կողմից։ Այն իրենից ներկայացնում է թույն ուտող ծովային կակղամորթ, որը շողշողում է ջրում։

 3  Ամենափոքր սենգին

Նամիբյան սենգիի այս փոքրիկ տեսակը՝ «Macroscelide micus»-ը, հայտնաբերվել է նախորդ տարի։

 2  Հսկայական օձաձուկ

2014թ․-ին հայտնաբերված «Pylorobranchus hearstorum» տեսակի օձաձուկ-որդն իր տեսակի մեջ ամենախոշորն է աշխարհում, որը հասնում է 1.30մ երկարության, այլ կերպ ասած՝ իր տեսակի մյուս օձաձուկ-որդերից կրկնակի երկար է։

 1  Մահացու սպունգ

Մոտերերի Բեյ ակվարիումի հետազոտական ինստիտուտի կողմից 2014թ․-ի ապրիլին հայտնաբերված թփի նման սպունգերը թակարդի մեջ են գցում ծովային փոքրիկ արարածներին ու մարսում դրանց մի քանի օրերի ընթացքում։
