Պրահայում աշխատանքային այցով գտնվող արտգործնախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը մայիսի 4-ին հանդիպեց Եվրոպական հարևանության քաղաքականության և ընդլայնման բանակցությունների հարցերով ԵՄ հանձնակատար Յոհանես Հանին:
Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:
Քննարկումների առանցքը Արցախի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողությունների հետևանքով ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության գոտում ստեղծված իրավիճակն էր:
Նախարար Նալբանդյանը զրուցակցին ներկայացրեց ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հետ Հայաստանի համատեղ ջանքերը` ուղղված ագրեսիայի հետևանքների հաղթահարմանը, բանակցությունների վերսկսման համար բարենպաստ մթնոլորտ ձևավորելուն:
Շեշտվեց, որ հիմնահարցը չունի ռազմական լուծում: Յոհանես Հանը նշեց, որ ԵՄ-ն սատարում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների ջանքերը` ուղղված հիմնահարցի բացառապես խաղաղ հանգուցալուծմանը:
Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարը և ԵՄ հանձնակատարն անդրադարձան Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին, երկուստեք գոհունակություն հայտնվեց նոր իրավական հիմքի շուրջ բանակցությունների ընթացքի կապակցությամբ: Կարևորվեց առկա ձեռքբերումների հիման վրա փոխշահավետ համագործակցության զարգացումը:
